guys in the wwe don't look like that anymore but freaking paul rudd has to take steroids and starve himself to be antman

we are fast approaching the comparing-movies-to-walk-hard event horizon

like the only thing america did better than everyone else was 22 episode tv seasons and they don't even do that anymore

fans are saying it's "fantastic work" and "allows us to follow events to the timeline". my pod on Michael Lowry's outsize role in government formation, the election of the Ceann Comhairle and the speaking rights controversy leftinthelurch.net/2025/02/13/t...

A James Bond TV show for a streaming service in 2025 is gonna be insufferable. Just 10 episodes of a guy that doesn't call himself either James Bond or 007 yet and then in the final episode, he orders a martini, shaken not stirred, and we all politely clap and Season 2 takes 5 years to come out

the actual gasp of horror I let out when I saw this notification on my phone

sincerely annoyed that it's called daredevil: born again. catholics can't be born again!

Oh damn Prime actually published their failed chatgpt prompt in the description

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.

for real it's true

it's dr moloney now

that famous story of St. George and the Dragon; which dragon I maintain to have been a whale

great movie, great scene, great podcast(?)

isn't it weird that we don't send anybody to nigeria for st patrick's day when he's literally also patron saint of nigeria

Vaccines DO NOT cause autism. But what the autistic people in your life hear when you spread that widely debunked misinformation is that you would prefer to have a child die a painful death from eradicated communicable disease than to be like them. That's nasty work. Hope this helps!

Deadline reporting Captain America box office returns like they're provisional ballots from Broward County

Irene Dunne during a break from filming Theodora Goes Wild (1936)

What I like about Severance, as someone who hasn't watched it, is that it's very difficult to tell what it's about from people's posts.

Public libraries are amazing! Did you know you can borrow a book from any library in the country and return it to any other library? Did you know they have subscriptions to huge amounts of national and international media that you can access?

I don't think anyone is demanding that every person needs stacks of film, VHS, DVDs and Blurays but the fact is, owning physical media is the only way to guarantee access to what you wish to see in the future. We are seeing streaming getting yanked on a whim and it's only going to get worse.

I have emerged from a long, slow month in the content mines with a third episode of my new podcast, on the Lowry of it all, check it out leftinthelurch.net/2025/02/13/t...

Hey just a quick note to anybody getting their Valentine’s results today. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t get what you were expecting. You can always repeat and some of the sexiest people in the world failed Valentine’s Day so chin up

Hey guys meta announced a new policy where they send a killer to get you so be sure to go to settings>my account > killer> disable killer to turn that off

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who killed so many children in Samoa they ran out of child-sized coffins, has been confirmed to lead Health and Human Services. The vote was 52-48. All Dems and Mitch McConnell, whose fault this is, voted no. All other Republicans voted yes. The blood will be on their hands.

I saw someone call Matt Shakman an "okay TV director" while dissing the Fantastic Four trailer and it's bugged me ever since because the film looks like utter dogshit but you can't go around calling the director of "The Nightman Cometh" an "okay" director, this is still a society
