Post a meme made by you

They don't tell you on the informed consent forms that when you become trans you have to learn immigration law, and endocrinology, and weapons training, and field medicine and opsec and blood work. also philosophy and debate and eyeliner and discord

Imagine if the NYT covered trans healthcare this way

getting death threats for saying "quantitative research is a less rigorous, evasive, dimension-reduced subset of qualitative research"

Always fight back.

*youth pastor sitting in a chair backwards during a fight with his wife* you know who else talked to sex workers?

This is their goal for climate change, vaccines, etc: Write a report quoting reactionary blogs, and with the imprimatur of the federal government, use the report to dismantle established science agreed on by experts in that field

shouldn't the 3 friends memes be pictures of 4 people hanging out, not 3. if there's just 3 people they each only have 2 friends

you joke but this is pretty much how most endos are determining HRT doses

the only regret with transitioning i have is that i didn’t act on it sooner even though it’s what i wanted. in the last decade we finally got a point where it was socially acceptable for people to transition younger, and they’re trying to take that away and it breaks my heart

I am co-editing an issue of Puncta with Chris Jingchao Ma on Critical Trans Phenomenology! Submissions are due July 15th. Here is the CFP with full details: puncta.journals.villanova.edu/index.php/pu...

This month, at Xtra: Now that we've all decided fascism is necessary because it's "masculine" (???) (!!!!) I decided to talk to some trans feminists about what they think "masculinity" is, and how men's gender insecurity gets manipulated toward fascist ends: xtramagazine.com/power/politi...

Here's the thing about sex data collection—it's literally impossible to enforce in the way that TERFs and GCs want. I am never, ever, going to tick the male box on a form, I'm just not going to do it. There are ways to get the information they want, but they require asking questions on trans terms.

Its the ease with which universities have suddenly the money to pay for AI subscriptions, AI professorships, AI workshops, AI everything while they reassure us that "there is no money" to pay grad students and precarious faculty living wages.

I still feel an intense amount of shame sometimes when I listen to my pop girlies.

Schrödinger's humanities: Simultaneously so irrelevant to the lives of contemporary young people that they are dying off anyway, and so dangerous and threatening in their teaching of subversive ideologies that they need to be forcibly shut down at all costs.

The new HHS report on trans youth care "will be cited every time the government seeks to investigate, prosecute, defund healthcare providers...It will probably be used in efforts to criminalize parents as well," predicts Kellan Baker @whitmanwalker.bsky.social www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

I don’t think cis people understand the amount of pressure and coercion trans people face to not come out, to not transition. How swiftly and strictly gender is policed. How something as simple as listening to a song, a line of eyeliner, playing with the wrong toy meets stern correction.

If you are interested in an analysis of recent transphobia in philosophy, I have an essay published on the topic here and there will be a chapter in my book titled The Philosopher: philpapers.org/archive/MART...

they’re going to try to start conversion therapy to double prong attack children that are autistic and transgender and it’s going to traumatize a new generation of kids in a way we aren’t ready for

The “authors” of the Trump HHS gender medicine hitpiece have been uncovered, and they are a Gender Critical philosophy prof, a health projects consultant, and a freelance researcher

1. "I left as fast as I could. I didn’t wait for pain control. Is this the future for trans people in hospitals now?" My incredible friend Jamie Hale - writer, director, head of @cripticarts.bsky.social - was in hospital today, and this was their experience. They've given me permission to share.

every gender transition is a statement in favor of human possibility and freedom and i’m tired of hearing it talked about like it’s some kind of disease

if the american academy of pediatrics is saying the hhs report was based off an incredibly limited amount of data and distorted the medical consensus, the journalism about the report should mirror that, too. link to full statement: www.aap.org/en/news-room...

good advice from McKenzie. I also think a coalition across similar school types might be useful. I used to work at a Jesuit school that had great coverage and at the same time my wife was at a Jesuit school that didn't cover shit. Data from peer institutions can be good leverage

cis academics: one small thing you could do today is try and find out what your employer's coverage of trans healthcare is like. For both faculty/staff and students, because the coverage for these two groups isn't always the same

Can't wait for the next round of "well-meaning liberals" throwing their hands up and pointing to this as reasonable grounds for continuing to do nothing to protect us. "There's 400 pages of evidence your transness needs to be cured, though..."

I'm so tired of governments and States.

the media is going to assist in making youth transgender care illegal and then they’ll move onto their next goal of making it illegal across the board. anyone going along with this is a fascist

for @liberalcurrents.com i wrote about how those hoping to stop the dems from committing fully to trans rights use rhetorical strategies like stances of empathetic, reluctant disapproval, the thesis of jeopardy, and ofc more “think of the children” stuff www.liberalcurrents.com/showing-thei...

on a day when a thing like the american equivalent of the cass report has dropped i think we should take care to not rip each other up

Hey chat is it bad when the gov tells you you’re not allowed to question their decree on who is and is not deserving of human rights and consideration in their ability to participate in society

The thing about being a trans woman is that there's literally nothing you can do to keep scary people from hating you and wanting you to die. You might as well be a completely authentic freak pervert, because no matter how polite and withdrawn you are they will hate you anyway.
