Here's the thing about sex data collection—it's literally impossible to enforce in the way that TERFs and GCs want. I am never, ever, going to tick the male box on a form, I'm just not going to do it. There are ways to get the information they want, but they require asking questions on trans terms.

I don’t think cis people understand the amount of pressure and coercion trans people face to not come out, to not transition. How swiftly and strictly gender is policed. How something as simple as listening to a song, a line of eyeliner, playing with the wrong toy meets stern correction.
