I cancelled my flights back east and my wife and I are taking the train. Sounds like fun; private room with bath, big picture window, includes meals and (one) drink for a two-day trip. Hopefully safer than air travel, but I'm sure president musk can f*** it up by the time we depart. Be safe.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
When you are face-to-face with your enemies, they have a harder time stabbing you in the back.

I know my UPS (union) driver by name. He's been on this route for 17 years. Same with my mail lady, sweet woman. Different Fedex driver everyday. I'm a bit surprised that Amazon is so efficient, but they have a far superior logistical system.

At the same time many drivers buy multiple routes and hire temps to cover the overflow. These are often people who barely qualify for drivers licenses and can't read a map. route owners end up covering all of the screw ups and burnout is a real problem. There is massive turnover of all drivers.

Fedex also brags about being a free market solution to package delivery, as most of their drivers are independent contractors. "They care more because they own their own business!" BS. They don't care because they can't be fired if they meet a minimum standard, they will own that route forever.

Ok. I'll listen. I just hope this isn't some sort of cult that sends subliminal radio messages that makes me drain my bank account this afternoon.

There was no leader in this last election. We removed the man who was literally the "President of the United Staes of America" and replaced him with Walz-his-name. Kamala could not carry the ticket. A slow Joe Biden would have been far superior to what we got.

Look a bit deeper. They are actually holding his feet to the fire for making promises to follow specific policies that they each endorse. He probably does not actually support any of these things, but by constantly pointing out his hypocrisy they can take a bit of flesh as he waffles about.

For gawdsake, Biden's Title was literally the President of the United States of America. A Biden/Harris ticket would have been much stronger than Harris/Walz-his-name. Biden would have looked far better than Trump age-wise when people were actually deciding who to vote for. Panic move cost us dearly

I was ready to disagree with this take at some level, but find it one of the best pieces of advice I have seen. Perhaps we need a similar one for young men (including me at that age) to stop letting their frail egos and insecurities drive their actions. We need to redefine being a Man.

Equally important will be the retaliatory tariffs. Mexico imports most of its corn from? The US Midwest, notably Iowa, Kansas, and the Dakotas. Mexico purchases about 27% of the US corn crop per year. Who's 2nd? China. Ahem....
