BREAKING: 36k people showed up in LA for Bernie and AOC’s rally. In the off year. Americans are pissed — and anyone ignoring that is making a big mistake.

Letting Reps with newborns vote remotely is pro-family, Speaker Johnson. Thank you, @pettersen.house.gov, for leading this movement, not just for you and your generation, but for Sam and his.

The stock portfolios of more than two dozen members of Congress outperformed the market in 2024. This isn't due to luck or skill. Lawmakers can use privileged information to trade stocks while they’re supposed to be working for you. Make no mistake, it’s legalized corruption.

Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act. Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes? Staffer: a DL and birth certificate. Me: The documents don’t match Staffer: Then a marriage certificate. Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too? Staffer: No Me: See the problem?

Do you live on the north peninsula in PDX? If so please provide testimony on this bill in the legislature. It’s about a dangerous situation we’re trying to alleviate. Thanks.

The fear among academics and lawyers now talking on the record on just about any topic that involves the federal government or the White House is really extraordinary and worrisome, and getting worse, it seems to me, every week. Dissent by an establishment figures becoming verboten in the US

Earlier today, I voted NO on the SAVE Act. Read my statement:

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration. So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives. So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory

Horrible

This is what we are fighting for. This what we are building. A reminder that there are objectively more of US than them! We have the numbers, they do not. Let that give you hope and strength 💪 Sign your card today :) #generalstrike #strongertogether

We joined The Intercept in filing an amicus brief, authored by @kendraserra.bsky.social and @sellars.bsky.social, urging the court to strike down an executive order that threatens press freedom by imposing sanctions on the Perkins Coie law firm for representing Trump’s political opponents.

Prediction: Today (4/9/25) registered the greatest ill gotten gains from insider trading in history.

This is horrible. The target is a man who helped us know what was going on during Trump 1.0. This is the very definition of a dictatorship

Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

“On the 34th day, two human skeletons joined me — Guy Gilboa Dalal and Evyatar David. If I thought my situation was bad, theirs was worse. They admitted that, out of thirst, they had been drinking the salty, dirty water from the toilets.” — Released hostage Tal Shoham

Eight people in South Sudan, including five children, died on a three-hour walk to seek medical treatment for cholera after US aid cuts forced local health services to close, the UK-based charity Save the Children said reut.rs/3E9kB27

Yes!!!

Here we go. Rep Gregory Meeks and nearly two dozen other House Dems just introduced a privileged resolution in the House that would terminate Trump's fake national emergency that he's using to justify the tariffs:

"Consider some of the things boomers take pride in their generation pushing for: civil rights, women's rights, environmental causes — they may feel an urgency to come to the rescue of those things being under threat." www.msn.com/en-us/news/w...

Yes, let’s go back to the other time in our history when we had massive economic inequality!

he did this just *after* going to the funeral of an 8 year old girl. he walks away from where the hearse is idling and immediately starts hyping this stuff again. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

And if you’re following along, the 4th Circuit just backed up the district judge: The government must return Abrego Garcia to the US today (but on to SCOTUS)

My former postdoc @jinwookim.bsky.social shows how information can change beliefs but partisan hostility can undo and even reverse those effects - a fantastic paper that helps bridge conflicting findings in the research on these questions.

"The U.S. Government has no legal authority to snatch a person who is lawfully present in the U.S. off the street and remove him from the country without due process. The Government’s contention otherwise, and its argument that the federal courts are powerless to intervene, are unconscionable."

We need 3.5% of the American population to strike. If we go on strike without this, people will struggle even more. We hear you about signing up - it’s scary right now. But if you’re someone who is adamantly against the use of the strike card, we still want to hear from you…

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”
