I’ll be here (joint with T cell Differentiation in Tissue Microenvironments) next week! Send me a message or email if you’d like to set up a time to chat. Looking forward to an exciting meeting!

Excited to share our work on cytotoxic CD8+ T cells in donor lymphocyte infusions for treatment of AML relapsed after HSCT, out today in @sciimmunology.bsky.social! Great working with @elhamazizi.bsky.social on this exciting area! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Last week in #ScienceImmunology, Cody Elkins, Chaoran Li, & al. reported that visceral adipose tissue Tregs engage Srebf2-dependent cholesterol #metabolism to support their homeostatic functions in mice, which becomes dysregulated during #obesity:

This week in #Science #Immunology: Luigi Notarangelo & >100 colleagues characterize the immune & molecular features of 157 patients w/ various forms of #RAG #immunodeficiency! This is a real tour de force! @niaidnews.bsky.social

In this week’s issue of #ScienceImmunology (and featured on a very timely cover!), Pradeep Ramalingam, Jason Butler, & al. identified thrombospondin-1 as a driver of age-associated changes in hematopoietic stem cells: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Suppression of the inflammation that occurs with aging ("inflammaging") by blocking thrombospondin-1 (Thbs1), prevented age-related blood stem cell defects and expanded lifespan in the mouse model (KO-knockout) www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

And read my write-up on Bagchi et al. this week in ScienceAdviser!

Check out the rest of the collection here ⤵️

Also from my 2024 Editors’ Choice selections (and free in #ScienceImmunology through February): Dunsmore, Ng, Blériot, Ginhoux, & al. provide a time- and space-resolved picture of tumor-associated #macrophage development in pancreatic tumors:

From my 2024 Editors’ Choice selections (and free in #ScienceImmunology through February): Ruscitti, Radermecker, Marichal, & al. identified a population of lung #macrophages expressing Ly6G (typically found on neutrophils!) that promote alveolar repair after injury caused by #flu infection:

New review out in #science #immunology on tuberculosis immunopathology by @tomscriba.bsky.social et al.🫁🦠 www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Out this week @science.org by first release: Specific combinations of nutrients and metabolic enzymes determine T cell differentiation via loci-specific histone acetylations. https://buff.ly/4gvqKTz From Shixin Ma, Sue Kaech @tcellogic.bsky.social and colleagues #Immunology #immunometabolism

Check out the research that inspired this month’s beautiful cover!

#WeAreWhatWeEat! Bosurgi, Gagliani, Liebold &co show @science.org that apoptotic cells of different origin engage distinct phagocytosis receptors determining the response of #macrophages to IL4 & to a parasitic #worm infection! doi.org/10.1126/scie...

Hello BlueSky! Looking forward to sharing all things #Immunology, #Host-pathogen and #hematology! As we are heading towards the end of 2024, I'll post highlights published @science.org so far this year - and hot-of-the press research from our December issues!

Now in #Science #Immunology: Ziang Zhu, Tuoqi Wu, Chen Yao et al at UT Southwestern show that #NRF2 suppression mediated by the #redox sensor #KEAP1 is required for optimal expansion of #CD8 #TCells during chronic antigen exposure!

LRRK2...an important player in apparently unrelated disorders from brain to gut...novel gut insights coming to you right now... just check the latest in Science Immunology! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

A #ScienceImmunology review from earlier this year by @kuchroolab.bsky.social and co-authors discusses emerging roles of TIM-3 in immune responses including in #myeloidcells. #WeekendReads

By popular demand @science.org is on Bluesky!! No posts until after Thanksgiving, but stand by! @karaestellepowers.bsky.social @kakape.bsky.social @jakeyeston.bsky.social

This week in #ScienceImmunology: @jackiheraudfarlow.bsky.social , Carl Walkley, & colleagues used a genome-wide #CRISPRscreen to determine that a GGNBP2– CNOT10/11 complex is required for the accumulation of unedited #immunogenic self- #dsRNA & its sensing by #MDA5!

Last week in #ScienceImmunology: An alternative approach to target TIM-3 for cancer #immunotherapy? Zhang et al. found that palmitoylation of human TIM-3 promoted its stability. Blocking palmitoylation accelerated TIM-3 degradation, prevented immune #exhaustion and promoted anti-tumor #immunity

This month in #ScienceImmunology, @virusesimmunity.bsky.social & colleagues reported that #ERV -reactive #B1Cells secrete #antibodies that recognize GlcNAc moieties on both ERV #glycoproteins as well as glycoproteins of other enveloped #viruses!

Here are the Science family journal editors currently on Bluesky, including the whole Science Immunology crew! 🧪 go.bsky.app/CQytTHw

In #ScienceImmunology last week, Zhang & al reported that the stability & expression of #ImmuneCheckpoint molecule #TIM3 is regulated by palmitoyltransferase DHHC9. Peptidic inhibitor of DHHC9 accelerates TIM-3 degradation & enhances #CARTCell & #NKCell #antitumor immunity! bit.ly/SI_adp7302
