Previously they never separated anyone specifically for this, they just limited joining and re-upping to force people out on time. At minimum it allowed people to maintain benefits, at the cost of an ended career over hateful BS.

When this came out the first time, I had to write a “waiver” to justify my existence and request to continue serving.
I had to justify the cost of replacing a nuclear trained E7 with all of my experiences. It was nearly incalculable and absurd.
Not a single person got an approved waiver.
