Indeed it's precisely why Trump is popular with many of his biggest fans. They expect men to be dominant and abusive and to be aggressive and entitled and even violent towards women. They don't believe this is exceptional, they just believe men who aren't like this are weak or cowardly

Talk to them and their friends. Show empathy not for their views, but for them. If they express their views, gently but adamantly dismiss them
Persist yet don't be surprised if it doesn't seem to work. You're not there to argue with them, you're there to whittle away at their views& make them doubt
