Nope. Only an investor in or a shill for CO2 reduction says that. We'll be lucky just to slow & reverse CO2 production.

Apple took a step back from the massive-stupidity cliff. At least one senior manager still has a long view. Don't need LLM methods at all, do need encrypted, on-device only.

Everyone turns off the faucet before beginning to mop up. Your word salad must have some orher motivation.

Local land trusts usually deploy their cash and in-kind resources more efficiently; fewer staff at HQ, lower travel budget, lower marketing budget....

Ha! He'd have to smoothly integrate a lot more than ONE major technological leap.

YES! . . . and the Whisper interface. . . . and n dimensions of continuous sensing, feeding continuous pattern recognition Don't need cloud 'ai', and woudn't ever want one's continuous personal sensor data off-device in any event

Did you read those papers you cite?

. . . any mention of human-centered design?

Your scenario would require Meta & Google to do human-centered design.

Endorsement: Fine, but maybe the ToS re: use of users' material is worth mentioning?

it's a stunning mishmosh of inadequacy, poor judgement, confidence, and un-centered design.

good to hear from you, Victor! Hope all's well. That career trajectory of yours is going nicely. Just got back from a hike in Anza-Borrego State Park with Tom DeFanti.

One reason (of several): Cos it's not personal, doesn't focus on just continuously accreting the user's context, in time becoming useful by doing continuous pattern recognition on that data to deliver slightly predictive awareness. All on-device, all encrypted. Little to no need for LLMs.
