Even then it isn't guaranteed to return accurate and useful results
Also, I really miss the + symbol immediately before a word to indicate it is required, and exactly as typed. They got rid of that functionality a good decade-plus ago :-(

Do you really think EM & cronies are going to personally read these things? Even the ones from internal servers, sent in earnest? They're going to fire who they want regardless. Just making an actual staffer's job harder in the meantime.

State employee here (responding from personal pov, not official capacity etc etc)
All non-(state TLD) emails are automatically marked as external with a brief warning about phishing etc
Also, think about who you are affecting -

fwiw, at least in my unionized state position, there is an established process for this purpose called a desk audit, and afaik can only be used as spelled out in the relevant CBA. I'm sure the union(s) involved will be gathering info for potential action here

They did ask for bullets, not bullet points π€·ββοΈ

bc they are different people with different tastes and preferences! I know this is kind of silly to state so plainly but, like, that's totally ok. there are many forms of art on this earth to hopefully give you the brain upsies

Wait hold on
-woman
-lives in Switzerland
-leader of Germany political party that is
-anti-immigration
-married to Sri Lankan woman
-(but not queer)
-has two kids with this woman
-defines family as one man, one woman, and their children
and apparently
-sees no contradiction in any of this

Yep - people will change their mind with new info *IF* that new info benefits them or, to a lesser extent, aligns with their values (the ones they actually hold, not just state). I think a lot of arguing misses what you said. They WANT to believe the racist, transphobic, etc. stuff.

Both needs are legit. We're both more productive in our preferred setting.
Fwiw, I do actually prefer hybrid. I do wish I had more flexible schedule options - I'd be able to work my full hours more often and not have to use leave. Another frontier. π€·ββοΈ

My coworker with TBI needs the supports of the office to stay focused and organized. Me with chronic pain/illness needs WFH so I can work while not professionally presentable in terms of clothing/hygiene, able to recline as-needed, etc.

I would say there will be very few working class folks who aren't significantly, personally hurt by these actions within about 6-8 weeks

lots of state, county, etc agencies rely in whole or part on fed funding. we're all on the chopping block, ultimately. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but I know the chance of permanently losing my job is plausibly high

if youre truly sex positive you have to accommodate people who view sex as a very private/personal/vulnerable thing for them for any variety of reasons and dont want to interact w it unless in a comfortable atmosphere & with people theyre comfortable with. and that's a value-neutral way to live too.

itβs not that Iβm shocked by their cruelty; itβs the unique ways they find loopholes to inflict pain upon the most marginalized that feels like a gut punch every time.

- & fyi for those not in labor spaces: never preemptively boycott when workers organize; depending on many situational factors they may need opposite strategies (boycott OR pressure co. w/ demand they can't fill). Don't change what you'd normally do unless you see the union call for that change.

...and no response. Of course, I don't expect creators to respond to everyone who engages with them. But I disengaged because IMO that kind of "help" is bad faith.
If you can see the evil in how SOME corps operate, you should hopefully be able to learn the evil in how the entire system does.

I'm sure I'll be blocked for saying this, but I also tried to (gently) explain to them, on a post months ago asking for a boycott of a company ahead of a worker strike + them saying you should have never frequented that company anyway, why that kind of response is anti-worker and unhelpful.

Like it's easy to get assholes to change their language to punch down at people they want to harm. It's harder to get people (who may or may not be assholes) to change their language to not punch down at people they don't mind harming (as long as it still harms the ones they are targeting).

I feel like this is a sign that we are... well, not winning, but slowing them down. He didn't ask for a legal agreement with all the other agencies he's already raided. He just walked in and took what he wanted, and people let him.

It's absolutely true. It's not that other people don't want to help. They face all the same barriers you do, sometimes more.
I'm really struggling lately though because my actual physical capacity is lower for various real reasons. I want to do so much, but this time I really can't. π
