"Debt" itself isn't an issue of a problem as long as its spent on the right things (NACT hasn't). Using debt as an attack line against Labour and then incuring higher levels is typical NACT hypocrisy.

I'm a "Labour supporter" but am fully cognizant of the reality that they are largely a form of watered down neoliberal right leaners at this point. They don't even realise it though.

We don't need to "save" money. We can afford to pay politicians. We can afford to pay nurses and teachers well. This "affording" things is a myth that the likes of Luxon and co keep going as a pathetic excuse to harm the worst off and enrich the already rich.
