This is my favorite story right now.

What is wrong with you people?

I do IT and network security work with local homeless shelters as that's what my skill set is most useful for.
Was that your big gotcha?
You legit thought the government wasn't involved in meals on wheels. Why are you trying to change the subject to me?

Yeah, it would be super weird if a billionaire's kid needed welfare.
But I love talking to people like you who have SUCH STRONG FEELINGS about welfare and asking them what welfare they're talking about? There's no program that's just called "welfare". Name one.
comment in response to
post
Here, you did it again. You ditched the real life subject matter being discussed and went on a rant about vague concepts that sound good, but accomplish nothing but to poison your mind against large scale efforts.
Name an actual program that isn't a "hand-up" that could potentially be one.

It's federally funded. Look it up. The trump admin directly harmed their funding structure, recently.
They rely on volunteers to improve their efficiency and reach more people, but it's still inherently a public organization that follows federal rules and relies on federal funding.
comment in response to

So a multi million dollar government program is good now?
Do you not hear yourself while you rail against vague concepts?
How can you have so much certainty in government programs being inherently bad while having such positive experiences with them?
You seem genuinely confused.
comment in response to

That's not true. Please, explain how meals on wheels creates selfishness.
Do you seriously believe that there is simply a number value that is too high that magically turns a communal effort to help into a bad thing?
Is it just the dollar amount?
comment in response to
post
You have no idea what we have. In what broken-ass brain could you possibly believe you're even vaguely aware of all the people who need help in your town?
Why not have everybody pitch in a few bucks to pay one guy to identify the needy and bring hot meals to the old and infirm?
Is that bad?
comment in response to

What the hell do you even think you're talking about?
Taking care of people in your community was not invented just 200 years ago.
You just got tricked into thinking that you and the government are different groups within a nation.
In a democracy, we are the same thing.
comment in response to
post
Dude, we are the government. In a democracy, the government is just a tool of the people. Why do people get confused into believing the government is some other person separate from yourself?
comment in response to

This is gibberish. What do advocates want them to do? Where are advocates addressing the public?
Nah, you dunce. The right wing, in their cruelty, completely made up whatever you seem to think "advocates" are demanding.
It's just bigotry. It always was. The dem position is "leave them alone".

How do you not understand the main goal of veganism?
Like, how dumb could you be to see people making an effort to reduce the suffering of livestock and then assume it's about the taste?
It's like your only data point and you lost track of it immediately.

Even if they were banned today, it wouldn't stop people who already have one from using it out of habit.

Those phrases mean entirely different things. If you think they're the same, there is something wrong with you.
And even if they were the same, they have normal meanings and wouldn't ever ALWAYS mean the secret conspiratorial meaning you keep trying to apply here.
Please ask somebody you trust.

It's not. You just keep proving you can't read a room.
If you were right, we would all have said "read the room" back before Biden dropped out of the race.
Or people would say "read the room" when somebody was being racist.
They don't.
You're wrong.
Learn English.

Vague and generic non-comment. If you think I missed something, point it out.
comment in response to

And maybe you're just rambling because you lost track of your point and think if you just say a bunch of random stuff, people won't notice.

All I'm hearing is that you are often inappropriate around children and never get invited to social gatherings.

No, see arguing about sports at a funeral is bad and it's not because of conformity.
You and your claim are dumb.

He objectively never told us he would only run one term.
The fact that you believe that is all the evidence you need to know it's time to stop talking.
Seriously. Google when he said that.
Then shut up.
comment in response to
post
None of that is true.
Look man, if Biden or his team were behind the one-term messaging, they would have eventually talked about it publicly.
It was just a rumor that the media ran with. Just like this crap. Biden wasn't pulling the strings. The media just elevates ghoulish scandal.

Your word choice gives it away that you're not interested in helping.
Does your family know you're a bottom feeder?
comment in response to

No they don't. That's asinine.

Shut up. This doesn't matter.

Look man, there is an ocean between me telling you to be REALISTIC about Biden's involvement in a genocide and his real-life options to intervene, and him being my idol.
Your need to elevate everything you disagree with to some monumental level is genuinely harming your life.
comment in response to

You sound strung out. Get some water, then find the evidence that Biden did war crimes.

You've lied multiple times already, so you have to show me proof that he was his mentor or else I'll just assume it's false.
That's the life you chose when you started lying.
comment in response to
post
Man, he really went buck wild with power when he was president, so clearly you proved your nasty conspiracy.
Wow, your inane ramblings really shed light on some things.
comment in response to
post
Strom was not his mentor. Robert Byrd was a redemption story of a man who publicly renounced his association with the klan and worked the rest of his life to make his mistake right. You should know this.
He was briefly against bussing back in the day. That's not being against desegregation.
comment in response to
post
You think a klan adjacent dude would proudly serve as vice president to a black man?
I guess if somebody does one thing you don't like, he's automatically every other thing you hate too.
comment in response to
post
I looked and came up empty because Biden never did that.
comment in response to

You said Biden sent them.
This was your proof.
It says nothing of the sort.
Stop lying. Stop being a liar. If you can't speak without lying, you're not even a real person.
comment in response to

It's cute that they'd choose that path because now the rest of us hate them too and their business suffers either way.
Complying in advance is lose-lose.
comment in response to

That's the larger crisis. Like, we all accepted that fox and newsmax were endless propaganda outlets, but why are we tolerating all these other outlets pretending everything is fine when the fires are raging all around us?

And it shows a lack of imagination as to what *could* be.

It's not by design. It's just simple game theory that arises from any first-past-the-post elections. It's vulnerable to spoiler candidates who are too similar to an existing one.
We need ranked choice and a parliamentary system.
comment in response to
post
That's a disgustingly reductive perspective.
It's a 2 party system, so the progressives still end up having to share a tent with status quo moderates.
If you're just going to disengage like this just so you can feel superior, you give strength to the worst laziest elements on both sides.
comment in response to

Only the orange guy is asking people to swear loyalty.
It's absolutely not a both sides issue.
Also, a large number of democrats are moderates.

I think it would have been largely ignored by bad actors and used as a cudgel against the people who were just reporting the truth.
One of the rules were that if you said something negative about a public figure, you had to give them a platform for a rebuttal.
Career trolls would exploit that.

Lookit you still trying to inflate your own value by belittling others.
I really hope you're a bot. If there's a real live human behind this account, you've wasted your life.
You have one dimension. This is it. Being shitty to people you'll never meet and unwittingly giving cover to the fascists.
