I'm not sure Democratic elected officials should even be admonishing demonstrators. They don't have any real relationship to the party. They're not like heading to the DNC in 2028. They're not precinct captains. I suspect these admonishments just reenforce Republican frames.

I'm imagining ICE doing to NYC what it's doing to LA — and the people of NYC responding the way people are in LA — and it all happening under Mayor Cuomo. He'll side with ICE, DHS and, of course, the NYPD. This man, who hates the city and doesn't live here, can not become mayor. Don't rank him.

A joy of bicycling in Minneapolis is seeing how our new infrastructure (plus the spread of e-bikes) has broken into the classic "Interested but Concerned" group. All the time now I see kids bicycling alone or only lightly supervised. I see many elderly bicyclists, people running errands, etc, etc.

The most common arguments I hear from people about why they want to vote for Cuomo is that it takes an asshole to fight an asshole. Being an asshole is not a virtue or a sign of strength, it is a sign of weakness, a lack of character and moral clarity. Don’t vote for an asshole.
