Then, along comes a comedy about sisterhood that bites. An unflinchingly honest show which is ‘genuinely moving and life affirming’ (The Herald ⭐⭐⭐⭐).

👣 Wee Man is a highly physical and dynamic dance-theatre performance. With candid humour, it examines masculinity, performed by a cast of men and male teenagers.

Cumbernauld Theatre’s model is forward-thinking and inclusive, but due to the loss of multi-year funding, our ability to produce work and support artists simply cannot go on.

2️⃣ Our audiences help shape the work we create.
We don’t just put on shows - we listen to our community. Through artist commissions, participation projects, and local engagement, the stories we tell reflect the people and voices around us.

1️⃣ We take a different approach to theatre-making.
Rather than being led by a single Artistic Director, we follow an Executive Producer-led model. This means multiple voices shape the work we produce, creating more opportunities for collaboration and fresh ideas.

An Tobar and Mull Theatre stands in solidarity with Cumbernauld Theatre following the recent funding decisions. Organisations like Cumbernauld are vital to ensuring the arts remain accessible beyond city centres. Without them, cultural opportunities in rural areas would be severely limited.
