Or just repeating it until they do.

If their argument was that the anonymization process would be too burdensome, how were there 6 judges who thought they should have access?

I'm wondering if it isn't worse than that. The accusations are another tool to intentionally undermine systems of accountability.
What they're demonstrating with this is that people who play by the rules lose. Contempt for the rule of law becomes a virtue - something to flaunt and revel in.

Fortunately our government has shown they can be trusted to behave ethically when conducting these tests.

"Saying something obviously untrue, and making your subordinates repeat it with a straight face in their own voice, is a particularly startling display of power over them."

It's a tough call either way. If he did leak it to another journalist, I think they'd easily be able to track it back to him. Then, the story would be about him as a leaker. Given the current media environment, I'm half surprised it isn't already tbh.

Based on everything I've seen, I trust his judgment and hope he stays engaged. But, whatever he does, it'll be because of what he expects of himself as a citizen, as a vet, and as a father.

Well, stock prices are lower. It's a promise kept if the "lower prices" promise was directed at his ultrawealthy donors because they're the ones who benefit.

When does the overcoming part start?

More that who runs has always been decided by a small group.
You're right that the information and misinformation environments are also largely controlled. I suspect that's something that could be manipulated to our advantage though.

How do we mitigate the chaos this administration is creating and effectively use it against them?

We need commitment to get people to the polls. Rally around one person. By the time primaries come that person's nomination should be a given despite the avalanche of misinformation that'll hit, be covered and amplified by all major outlets.

Exactly - once people commit to a candidate they are less likely to waver or believe negative reporting about them.
We are in a post-truth environment now. It's time to start dealing with that.

I too have donation fatigue. I suspect more candidates means more requests, not fewer.
Having multiple targets to support and defend will cost us more and divide the money.

I suspect more than one will lead to infighting. A unified message around one with backup candidates is a stronger position. Get people to commit now. Get them emotionally invested in one person. No divided loyalties.

Every move has pros and cons, we're facing an adversary whose primary weapon is division. Multiple candidates open the door to infighting. The consequences are most likely to hit during primaries.
Getting people emotionally invested in one person, one platform seems like a stronger approach.

Sounds like the plot to The Strain. I saw it as a cautionary tale, not a suggestion. Silly rabbit.

According to MAGA the Mexican cartels are absolutely killing it on trade, immigration and (since I haven't heard about wild fluctuations in the price of illegal drugs) inflation. One might say kicking Trump's butt on all those fronts.

MediasTouch guys aren't "policy guys?" I watch their clips on YouTube. Ben Meiselas seems pretty policy oriented to me. Am I missing something?
