LEADERSHIP “DOGE’s ransacking of federal agencies has sown tremendous chaos, instilled distrust among the American people, and has caused deep harm to our country,”

It's a scam, it's a grift, it's a crime spree

JUST POSTED: New Charting the Way Forward episode, featuring @leahgreenberg.bsky.social on the wild growth and strategic evolutions happening in the resistance to Trump autocracy this time. You're going to want to hear and share this one. Quick 🧵 -

Given their track record we cannot trust the Dem Cong Leaders to hold the line on govt funding/debt ceiling fights in closed rooms w/o a public commitment from them. They cannot give an inch to Rs unless there is a leg. deal to rein in the lawlessness. Must read from @joshtpm.bsky.social

*Trump's new acting undersecretary of state....

The New York attorney general, Letitia James, has warned New York hospitals that complying with the White House’s executive order to end gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth could well violate state law.

Unfortunately, no matter how right this is, Democrats are once again caught in the position of being seen going all out to protect institutions, not people.

Imagine you're a career federal worker with deep expertise in your field and a track record spanning multiple administrations of both parties. Then you're get hauled in front of this little twerp to defend your value to "the organization."

New from me: A tech mafia is currently taking over America. They're no different than the MAGA supporters who stormed the Capitol 4 years ago. www.altrightdelete.news/p/militias-a...

Not sure how genuine this is, but if I were a reporter based in DC, I would be making my way to 1900 E Street, NW right now.

Pathetic, @kaine.senate.gov. At the very least, you need to say "This administration is refusing to give Congress information we're legally entitled to, but based on the reporting it seems that Trump has given Elon Musk a dangerous and probably illegal amount of access to very sensitive data."

Plane crash site appears to be right around the Dunkin on Cottman Ave between Bustleton and the Boulevard.

Fox 29 Philly is providing live coverage of whatever the hell just happened at Roosevelt Mall. It's horrific. www.fox29.com/live

I am so goddamn mad. A friend who’s been FISHING BODIES OUT OF THE POTOMAC appears to be in the Trump purges today.

only appropriate political response here is to demand the white house explain how its actions aren’t responsible www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

Hey @nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com @reuters.com @apnews.com I want real answers here. How do his cuts contribute to the likelihood of more crashes?

Army Blackhawk helicopters are crashing into passenger planes at DCA while the Secretary of Defense is on Fox News ranting about DEI

It's not unreasonable to want answers immediately from the President about why an Army helicopter was in front of a commercial jetliner, and to demand concrete steps to prevent it from happening again. Buck stops with him. Or is he too busy with golf, EOs, and fake bribery settlements?

This was an premature and irresponsible decision from the get go and the Trump regime has some explaining to do.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

Was literally talking to the union representing federal air traffic controllers earlier today about how there’s already a major shortage of air traffic controllers and the resignation offers they all just got from OPM could seriously endanger public safety.

NEW FAA STATEMENT: “A PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time. PSA was operating Flight 5342 as American Airlines. It departed from Wichita, Kansas.”

Senate Democrats did something good yesterday and they deserve credit for it. And who else deserves credit - everyone at Bluesky and all over the country who are pushing these guys to fight. Keep fighting. Don’t let up.

To the extent that neoliberal Democrats in control of prosperous ‘blue’ state governments are unwilling to tax the ultra wealthy to fill the coming void of services created by Trump’s executive actions, they’re complicit with them.

Michael Fanone, talking about all the people who said they would and failed to step up for the officers who were attacked: "There's a lot of John Fettermans in the world." Pretty much sums it up.

I guess it's only been a day since Trump revoked EO 11246 but I'm surprised by how unready some Dems are to talk about it. This was LBJ's affirmative action order, Project 2025 called for getting rid of it - no one can be shocked here.

Some Dem leaders really should watch Bishop Budde and learn from it

This idea that Democrats can somehow take a discussion about immigration and pivot it to economic policy is laughable. It’s a sign of hope that some Hill staffers get this and are pushing back.

Good to hear that staffs of courageous House Dems are pushing back hard against the milquetoast messaging from the Leadership- who simply aren’t doing enough to stand up to the regime. (Via @punchbowlnews.bsky.social) More of this please ↘️

"We will not follow an unconstitutional order." - @govpritzker.illinois.gov comes out &t BLASTS Trump's unconstitutional attacks on birthright citizenship. At a time when Dem leaders in Sen/House & gov mansions are mostly flailing & failing to provide moral leadership Pritzker is being a rare 💡

I hate that we already know how this ends. Hegseth confirmed anyway and his ex-wife and sister-in-law having their lives ruined by death threats and harassment.

BREAKING. The Trump regime is looking to raid "schools, hospitals and churches" to deploy their cruel and heartless deportation programs. This is dark. www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

Sergeant Gonell @sergeantaqgo.bsky.social sent me this picture. This is his call log. Each call is an automated Dept of "Justice" notification saying "The defendant you testified against is being released from the dept of corrections." Each defendant assaulted him.

Any Dems holding their version of dinner GOP held on night of Obama's 2009 inauguration to plot to thwart his agenda? One thing Kevin McCarthy got right that night and Dems should heed: "If you act like you're the minority, you're going to stay in the minority" www.huffpost.com/entry/robert...

My Gosh... ICE began raids in California.. first being targeted: Farm workers in Bakersfield 🤬🤬🤬 youtu.be/3Rt8kesuL2g?...

“Trump has expressed a keen interest in privatizing the U.S. Postal Service … a move that could shake up consumer shipping and business supply chains and push hundreds of thousands of federal workers out of the government.“ @jeffstein.bsky.social Yeah - what could go wrong?

👀😳 “At one point, Zuckerberg and other attendees stood, hand over heart, as the club played a rendition of the national anthem sung by imprisoned defendants who are accused of crimes related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, according to people familiar with the matter.”

I won’t be working with Elon Musk, joining truth social, or holding hands with people that want to destroy the social safety net and harm gay and trans people. We cannot work with authoritarian extremists.

Post a non-religious photo you think of as holy

👀

Minnesota's Paul Wellstone inspired me to get into politics—he was a champion of workers, families, and all people. He told me you can be frustrated, and you can be angry, but there is no institution that will solely change from the outside. You have to shape it and reform it.

I see. so all of the things that were in Build Back Better that the Progressive Caucus said should be passed but wasn't?

Inflation caused by a global supply shock from the COVID pandemic doomed incumbents across the globe. Ending COVID era protections and direct funds that helped folks hit by both the COVID lockdowns and by inflation was wrong. www.ft.com/content/35da...

I really don't get how Democrats can be handed the easy layup of "Republicans are uniting to suppress the underage sex trafficking report about an unliked and unqualified nominee" and decide the best thing to do is minimize its importance.
