What to know about this obscene display of wealth and poor taste? It was made possible on the backs of my students and thousands of workers like them. And I have to beg rich fucks like him for funding to run my small, community ESL program that gets these students job ready. FOR HIM .

I love Bernard, but I don't love this. Independent voters are looking for whoever is offering them the best deal at the time. There's no coherent strategy, no common values, and no solidarity. I'd much rather see us building a strong and principled Labor party to fight for the working class.

Listening to this audiobook right now and it’s a horrifying eye opener about the misogyny, abuse, and violence baked into the so called Christian communities who are increasingly controlling this country. Not an easy read, but a very important one. Highly recommended.
