Pretty sure I heard 40k in Portland, OR

Thanks for clarifying and having the vision (along with @councilordunphy.bsky.social) to make the proposal. If Prosper Portland actually cared about small businesses in this city, they'd use that slush fund now when times are tight. Instead they are using those small businesses for scaremongering.

Yes. It's despicable how the US military used these people and then abandoned them.

What we need is a Labor/Workers' party. "Independent" means voting for whoever offers the best deal. A Labor party is about class solidarity. Let's go!

How’s that going for you? Normies lining up to sign on? Everyone starts somewhere and shitting on what may be people’s first steps toward collective action seems counterproductive to me. But please do carry on.

What? We haven't toppled the kleptocracy in under 12 hours? "DOA" might be a premature assessment. Marathon, not sprint.

I try not to watch him or listen to his voice, but I (a language teacher) was intrigued when I saw Zelensky going up against these goons with no translator. He was astonishingly composed but my jaw dropped at Trump and Vance’s behavior which was appropriate for a locker room, not the White House.

To you? Maybe. To people maybe taking their first steps toward collective action, today might be huge.

When new people decide to try something new, ask questions, and take maybe their first ever action, the only appropriate response is welcome and support. This smug, leftier-than-thou bs is the worst. This is an enormous organizing opportunity and should not be squandered on egos.

Listening to the audiobook. Almost finished. I feel like it pretty well explains much of the cruelty and violence of this administration. What a bunch of batshit crazy but also very dangerous people.

Would love to hear that!

Maybe look for local, independent, union printers. Or....does your public library offer free printing?

Serious me is especially pissed about a bunch of unvetted kids mucking about in our personal data, terrorizing immigrants and trans folks, gutting civil service, and muzzling public health. Petty me is pissed that a silly Valentines gift ordered weeks ago is stuck in Canada due to tariff drama.

How about (gasp) public transit? Or a nice union made EV? UAW workers earn 30% more than Tesla workers.

My dreams are normally fuzzy and quickly forgotten, but now I'm dreaming of ICE raids in excruciating detail. I guess my brain really wants me to rehearse so I can keep my students safe.

There are valid ?s about his (and Thiel's) SA connections, but the issue is not that he's an immigrant. This issue is that he is breaking the law, putting Americans' personal info at risk, and leaving the entire US Treasury vulnerable to god knows what. That's all bad. Being an immigrant is not.

Appreciate the fighting tone. Now I want to see the fight! Please let constituents know what that fight looks like beyond social media videos.

My 31 yo firstborn child asked me to dig out and scan some photos of him "from the 90's" today and it was such a sweet break from the current hellscape. Enjoy your adorable lads.
