They aren't smart enough to understand that cutting all the employees and making the entire department's non-functional doesn't count as saving money. It takes more money to correct the issues that arise from not having proper employees

Unfortunately some won't. In my high school days there was a car crash that it had three teenagers in it not wearing their seat belts. One was thrown out rolled over by the car. The second was thrown into a power pulling killed. The third was halfway out the window and killed by the rollover.

I don't think the billionaires thought this through very well. If we can't afford groceries we can't afford to buy anything else because we have to buy groceries. Which means they lose a lot of money.
