The current Labor government isn't building any more freeways to my knowledge.
They're finishing the CBD-Parramatta-Westmead metro, the metro to Bankstown and the Western Sydney Airport metro. No new metros anticipated.

So many big US corporations, big US employers, rely on Chinese imports. Amazon, Walmart, Tesla, to name a few. They can't pivot quickly to US manufacturers. They don't exist at the necessary scale.
