So, the EHRC guidance is both grim and contrary to the law, both UK law and international law. The political effect is (deliberately) awful, but actually following it will open organisations to legal action both in the UK and at the European level. We'll keep pushing back, for as long as necessary.

It’s hard to overstate how sickening the concept of ‘opting out’ is here. It’s like having to go to individual criminals and fill out a form to opt out of their right to steal from you. Artists are *already* at a disadvantage trying to enforce their rights over their work against big companies.

The most impactful place for Victoria Crosses is museums in the locality where the recipients were from. Those museums can contextualize them to their community, and give time to the story behind them. Every time I've seen that done, it's been ace. They don't exist for Ashcroft to play Pokémon.

Scottish Labour conference have voted to reject a motion to back the Cass Review and scrap Scottish Government guidance on supporting young trans people. Whatever anti-trans route the leadership is on, the membership do not agree.
