Tonight's Weather Rewind only looked back two years to March 31, 2023, when one of the largest 24-hour outbreaks of tornadoes in U.S. history took place. The strongest tornado in southeast Iowa since the 1990s was the most powerful of the outbreak: www.kcrg.com/video/2025/0...

2 additional radiosonde sites are temporarily suspending launches, while 6 others are reducing to one launch a day. 14 out of 83 sites now have partial or no launches. The more radiosondes are reduced or suspended, the more noticeable the forecast skill reduction becomes.

I was eight when this tornado ripped the door off our farmhouse, and through the hole I watched it obliterate two neighboring homes. This event helped lead me to a career in emergency management and is told in my upcoming second book about Iowa farm life in the 1980s. #greysky #writerscommunity
