I've been meaning to do some more investigation of @cos.io 's Institutions, this is delightfully timely. 📚

Kudos to @cos.io I had a very pleasant experience creating a dataset to share some parquet files I used in a paper. It's great to see tools like this exist and flourish! These are the sorts of tools that make the world a better place 🤩

📅 Mar 6 @ 1:00 PM ET 🔗 Register: cos-io.zoom.us/webinar/regi... Next week, we're hosting a webinar to explore OSF Institutions, a flexible workspace for streamlined data sharing, collaboration, and open science compliance, all with an institution-branded experience. We hope to see you there!

Had a lot of fun talking about qualitative data sharing with POWER today. We chatted about what people often mean when they say, "I can't share my data, it's qualitative!" and considerations when sharing qualitative data. Thank you @cghlewis.bsky.social and @gizemsolmaz.bsky.social for inviting me!

ICYM SIPS 2025 Pre-Conference Discussion: 'What went wrong? How can we do it better?' don't worry; we've got you covered! The recording is now available on YouTube! Enjoy the discussion and join us for #SIPS2025! https://buff.ly/4gVwdnB @simine.com @briannosek.bsky.social @balazsaczel.bsky.social

Join us in one week (March 5 at 11 am EDT) for Secrets of Changing Behavior in #ScholComm! Speakers Jennifer Gibson (@datadryad.bsky.social) & Nicole Pfeiffer (@cos.io) will explore how to leverage marketing strategies to maximize your work's impact. Free for NISO members: niso.org/events/secre...

We're delighted to have @cos.io joining Love Methods Week! Join their pre-registration workshop later today.

If scientific journals were “invented” today they would look very different. We shouldn’t persist with traditional models just because that’s the way things have always been done, great to see new approaches like this.

This is very exciting, brilliant to see all these great initiatives and organisations brought together in one journal! lifecyclejournal.org/evaluation-s...

Representatives from 14 organizations have gathered to shape the Metascience Alliance’s mission, vision, and purpose. The official launch will be at the #Metascience2025

NIH intramural researchers are being told they're not allowed to post preprints. To raise awareness of the vast research affected, and show support for our colleagues, we're making a thread of past NIH IRP preprints. ✴️ 1 like/repost == 1 preprint ✴️ ‼️Please share‼️ https://buff.ly/3PTy6oL

🚨 Open infrastructure is crucial for the future of knowledge & the well-being of society. Let's work together to protect resources that sustain research. COS is proud to sign @investinopen.bsky.social's Statement of Support for a Global Research Ecosystem: share.investinopen.org/support-glob...

Very glad to see the outcome of this collaboration between @cos.io and #MetaROR. A significant step forward in strengthening infrastructures for preprinting and publish-review-curate! @rorinstitute.bsky.social @aimosinc.bsky.social @cwts.nl

🚀 New on OSF: DOI Versioning for Preprints! This feature enables researchers to manage preprint updates, transparently track changes & show version history. This aligns with community-driven models like MetaROR’s Publish, Review, Curate for a more open peer review process: www.cos.io/blog/doi-ver...

If your research could be affected by such policies, you can use OSF or similar services to post a preprint with a CC-BY license to ensure it is accessible to everyone: osf.io/preprints OSF is open source, free-to-use, and maintained by @cos.io a 501(c)3 charity.

Peer Community In is delighted to collaborate with @cos.io and contribute to the recently inaugurated Lifecycle Journal🥳

Hey if anyone is considering backing up any datasets for some reason today, the Open Science Framework has free storage up to 5G/private repository, and up to 50G/public repository. (The OSF is run by a 501c3 (Center for Open Science), so if you do this you might also consider making a donation.)

The OSF is available for preservation of datasets that need saving. osf.io Contact [email protected] if you need assistance

Do you want to: ✔️ Build expertise in preprints? ✔️ Engage your colleagues and community? ✔️ Join a global network of advocates? The ASAPbio Fellows Program is for YOU! 🚀 📅 Program: March-September 2025 📆 Deadline: February 10, 2025 🔗 Apply here: https://buff.ly/3ZJHhhi
