Shit's rough out there. May the carnitas be an island of solace.

I let him choose: use the blast to try to escape Hell (soul vortex shenanigans) or augment it with his own soul to take out both the demons, and the devils that had pressed him into their service. He went with the latter. Fitting send-off for a character consumed by revenge to the last.

The barbarian character died in a battle with a planetar. For his birthday, we surprised the player with a session in Hell, with the others playing premade devils. He had to bring a bomb to a demon army and detonate it.

I ran a 5e campaign for two years over VTT (first Roll20, then Fantasy Grounds) for some strangers who had a bad experience with their first GM. Homebrew world, but nothing revolutionary. It remains one of the coolest things I've ever done. The group still talks about it years later.

The monster's attacks are just an opening to counter.

"And somebody fix that exhaust port, our heating bills are through the roof!"

And if it crashes and just writes gibberish, that's a feature!

There's nothing like vibing to that piano. I go back to it every so often to de-stress. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs5Q...

This is fantastic!

Based on my experience, I wouldn't be surprised if it feels like RSD is an ADHD thing because being rejected confirms the constant guilt and shame we have about "underperforming." It's easy to latch onto the negativity, but that doesn't make RSD its own symptom.

Best catgirl character, you can't change my view.

The calm confidence. The casual eloquence of the barbs. I love him so much.

I feel this. That end-of-day "I just need to rally and get one more thing knocked out" You're right, the real answer is going to bed.

Every time I give my cat a little kiss, my cat's like "ugh, why did you give me a little kiss?"

So much character! The ants make me think of Walt Kelly's art.

My middle boy is a terror with no respect for rules, who does what he wants. What he wants, when I go to bed, is to lie by my pillow facing the door. He guards me all night.

They're the best menaces. Jack Jack once saw me cleaning a plate of chicken breast and broccoli out of the fridge, and chose to steal the broccoli. Another time, my roommate made roast Brussels sprouts. That cat hopped up, made eye contact with her, then slowly, deliberately ate one.

Cats are great at vetting people. I have a tabby who is self-appointed Supervisor of Everything.

It takes swagger to look that regal and dignified while wearing a trash can lid.

At first I was upset that these were repetitive. Then I realized that eating, drinking water, and stretching are all things I need to do more consistently. Thanks, orc.

I'm so used to the silly humor and spirit of your content, that I sometimes forget what a good artist you are.

That kind of grief is love, with nowhere to go. You'll never love him less. But the love will find places to trickle out, and the part that is grief will lessen. You'll remember things that make you smile more, and cry less. This old wisdom might help too: www.reddit.com/r/Assistance...

The world is absolutely making it harder for established mechanisms to hold up. COVID and WFH absolutely dunked on my reliance for using my environment as a filter.

The KIM system is such a huge win. So much lore, so much characterization in how the different NPCs write. I could spend a whole session just chatting.

This screams "bank robbery while wearing Roaring Twenties retro fashion and armed with a revolver" I'm sure there's a charge for that.

I like this. I'm gonna go hire a tribe of goblins to live in my head.

I gotta give it to Beauty and the Beast. Its score outclasses the others, and the early use of 3D in the ballroom scene is still great.
