You mean we can’t rename Lake Ontario to Lake Donald Go F&&k Yourself?

Chairman Don values fealty alone. Competence is not a consideration.

This has a whole Duke of Windsor vibe to it. He was ousted in 2020 and has relied on his Nazi buddies to get back in. It didn't work in 1940 because of the bravery of politicians and the people alive at the time. Now, this demented shit heel is doing whatever he wants with no effective opposition.

The US is China's third largest customer, after Southeast Asia and the EU. They can afford this. They also hold $900B in US bonds.

I'm sure the orders went out in an ultra-secret Signal Chat.

Was one of those calls from Ben Dover in Kissmyarsistan?

Every word out of Trump’s mouth is a lie. That makes things very clear.

I guess his buddies resolved their short positions and pocketed billions. Must have been lively conversation in MAL last night. His Dementedness will wait two weeks and claim victory, having forgotten the whole thing.

I’m thinking he didn’t stiff any of Nicky Scarfo’s people.

Canada should implement higher tariffs to compensate for this unfair socialist advantage.

The rest of the world should have been doing this more diligently for decades now. Trump is the ultimate expression of where US democracy has been headed since Eisenhower or before. Their much-vaunted "checks and balances" are worthless against a lifelong scofflaw.

This guy gives off a distinct Ernst Röhm vibe. Things did not go well for Röhm.

I have no stock portfolio, but, as is usual, my pension funds are invested, as required by law. We are all taking a shellacking. It's just that I can't see it ... yet.

Trump couldn't care less. He wanted something to hold up while he added his goofy signature. He expects the world to come running to negotiate, but I think he will be underwhelmed. In 1890, the US was the big dog. In 2025, there are far more options.

He looks like a ten-day-old gas station hot dog with legs.

I worry that some Canadian politician, whether Smith in Alberta or Poilievre in Ottawa, will suggest a Brexit-like referendum on joining the U.S. Such an idea should be disqualifying for their electoral dreams, but might not be so. Cameron thought it a slam dunk, but the British people got slammed.

There is a reason that the caddies call him "Pele."

More accurately, TDS is Trump Delusion Syndrome; the delusion that he is competent and totally not a racist and misogynist.

Trump continues to claim that Canadians will pay his tariffs. The only increase in revenue for the US is coming directly from American wallets. Nobody else is covering that bill.

Did Carney threaten to call him Premier Trump, leader of our 11th Province (or 4th Territory)?

In a perfect world, when it comes time to make the movie about the Trump Presidency (working title: Cluster Fucks are Real), the lead actor should be an AI recreation of John Banner of Hogan's Heroes fame. "I know nothing!!"

How much did Trump contribute to Schumer's elections? Did they play golf together at fundraisers? You would be amazed at how cheaply these politicians can be bought. Just because he calls himself a Democrat means squat.

Yeah, nothing says high performance like a 2400 baud modem. Four hours to download a megabyte or so. Ah yes, the bad old days.

First of all, Ford would be part of any party that lets him be leader. Secondly, his absence during the Freedumb Convoy was glaring. He only showed up when his buddies were suffering losses from the Windsor blockade. He was "snowmobiling" the whole time. He's nobody's ally. He's there for himself.

There you go, saying the quiet part out loud. The goon squads all know what he means.

Doug is making his move. He sees the weakness at the federal Conservative level. He is a longstanding Trumplicker, until he sees an advantage for his own prospects.

My father hated PET with a passion, but he agreed with him wholeheartedly about the War Measures Act. I can see why Nixon hated him. PET was everything Nixon was not.

Thanks for the flashback to my youth. Every night, all five of us would get a large tablespoon full of cod liver oil. Bleccchhh.

Perhaps, he is questioning his identity? Nancy hasn't recovered from her verklempt moment seeing Hunter Biden's junk and then seeing him in person.

When PET was asked if he would put troops on every corner, during the October Crisis in 1970, PET said "Just watch me." There was a bit of that here.

Way to go, Donnie. Make your own people pay twice as much in tariffs to own ... errr.. somebody else.

They will, in desperation, just repeat last month’s payments and plan to fix it all “later.” Hint - they never will.

How about a general crime registry where perpetrators log their crimes? It would make unreported crime much easier to assess.

I have lots of American family and friends. We are linked together and that won't change any time soon. What must change in Canada is our tendency to turn to US markets first. TMX allows us to ship a million barrels a day to Asian customers. Learn from this and find new trade partners.

LBJ said that about Gerald Ford, who was a genius compared to the Trumplickers.

The guy who built 3 competing casinos in AC and bankrupted them all wants to build the same in Gaza? How about an Unexploded Ordnance Theme Park, where the kids can dig for treasure? Open the Hamas tunnels for sightseers or maybe a nightclub? This guy has really gone off the rails.

Lots of money coming in to those pro-Trump groups from right-wing groups in the US. I have concerns that there is also Russian money in there. When the Freedumb Konvoy was operating, their bank accounts were frozen and that put a twist in their knickers.
