I studied agriculture at university... where did I go wrong after that?

I'm English but it doesn't look much like our language π€·ββοΈ

That almost makes you more famous though. But I understand where you're coming from.

You are reasonably famous. You can use that on a poster if you want.

It is the point of these test events... find out what doesn't work as well as it could and you've got 6 months to fix it π€·ββοΈ

...but if you hate the government and were blind to what the other lot did, carry on knocking this progress if it makes you feel better.

I had such high hopes for Labour... this is one issue that isn't going to get better by sitting on the fence. Irrespective of any possible financial issues, we can't possibly side with the megalomaniac across the Atlantic.

At least Trump is unlikely to invade us... we've got feck all left in terms of resources and the whole country is in a right mess. And it's not sunny, so no chance of him turning us into a beach resort π

...and no wonder he grew it. What an awful picture of an awful person.

Oh, that the dude with the beard? Sorry, it was his thin disguise that put me off.

They were very much out-smarted by the people who lived there and left with their tail between their legs. Similar so far... πΊπ¦ π¬π§ πͺπΊ

I'm from the UK. I don't know who this is but I can only imagine that he's another act in the circus that you're having to endure. His talent appears to be having a hinge attached to his ear. I feel for you all.

I'm sure Aus has sent armoured vehicles already (but I may be mistaken)

Surely, if the EU, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand all got together, we could cut Trump out of this and leave him a nobody on the sidelines.

Haha, I'll take that as a compliment. I think.

To be honest, yes, I think every main leader should be a woman. Apart from a selected few, we're crap at doing things for the best. Our egos, machismo and testes get in the way of everything!

It's almost like they've really got no idea at all what they're doing. I'm watching from the UK and feel for all the good folk of the US, and fear for all the good folk of the whole World as this circus just gets more depressing every day.

The depot I work at is mostly E400s, some as old as 2008. Whilst they're quite 'boring' I suppose, they're pretty dependable and take some hammering, up to 19hrs a day, on our terrible roads.

Oh yes, I was the same, tempted in by it's appearance on QI. I washed all the salt off and ate them anyway... now looking for Lakrids to see what I'm missing!

There is a problem with dentistry, like there is with all public services, chronically defunded during the last 15+ years, but one thing that is destroying this country is a lack of responsibility, always blaming someone or something else for ones own issues and not doing anything about it yourself.
comment in response to

You don't get tooth decay at 5 because you can't find a dentist, you get it through neglect by parents who don't teach their children to brush their teeth twice a day and feed them sweets. It's not rocket science!

A perfect setting for a scene from a Sherlock Holmes novel. My snowdrop have just made an appearance, along with some brave crocus flowers. Spring marching steadily northwards...

Yes, it's amazing what people will forget when it comes to the other 2 main parties but sadly Clegg destroyed the LibDems chances for a long time. As there's no way I could vote for Tories, ever, and I'm becoming very disillusioned with Labour, I think my vote may go their way next time.

Would be interesting if the EU said anyone under 30 could register with them and go, even if our govt didn't want to take part!

You wonder if they're afraid of everyone who could leave for the EU actually going if a scheme like this was implemented.

Stopped watching years ago, anything political, for exactly this reason. A large chunk of the population are centre or left leaning but all we get are radical right wingers.

If they're good, they're worth their weight in gold. Ours kept the school in the black when others were building up huge debts, and whilst they weren't always my favourite person, I do appreciate what they did.

I left after 20 years. I wouldn't go back if they doubled the wages. For my former colleagues, the 2.8% is an insult though, for the hours they put in and stress they undergo. I now drive a bus, earn about as much as I was before, and have no stress.

We can usually cope with one or two of these in isolation but combined, they ruin the efforts to keep it all running. You can throw money at it, but if it rains or snows onto freezing third rails, it is going to form ice. If it rains for days, it is going to flood.

I'll save him a few quid... we've had some exceptional weather. I drive the replacement buses and I've never seen anything like the last 10 days. Torrents of water rushing off fields for days, roads flooded knee deep, blizzards, fog, hail, sleet, rain, constant temperatures below 0C.

We had a reasonable amount of rain before the snow which washed the salt away. Also now causing problems on Merseyrail as the deicer was washed off the third rail, now frozen. This was midnight last night as the rain turned to snow.

When I was a kid I'd sit in the bathroom and read the backs of shampoo bottles. Reading one word is better than none. Any more than that is great.

I just don't get why people have to be negative about anything. It's so sad that people feel good for criticising or belittling others.

The taxis at one of our termini complained to the local authority when the occasional bus was partly over their (generally unused) taxi rank, yet they seem to be allowed to use every bus stop, bus stand, middle of the road to drop off, pick up, scroll through their phone etc.

It's a shame we don't make more of the dock area for big sporty stuff. The ice rink and sports centre might have been a crowd puller? And don't get me started on the tram... there is so much to fix across our transport network, and this would have been up and running and possibly extended by now.

Sadly, I think you're right. And the rest of us will suffer.

BTP only deal with railways, they lost any docks, bus stations etc in 1985. They have the same power that a normal bobby has except on railway property where they have additional rail related powers. Bus related stuff now just comes under the relevant county force.

By who though... most of the media hate Kier Starmer so why are they letting him off by running with this Gregg story day after day? I don't disagree with what you're implying but who's behind it all?
