Yes you play as a cute animal, and you can change which animal you are, what color scheme, and what outfit you’re wearing at any time at a mirror. The game is really cute and fun, and full of quests and exploring. The stuttering/ frame rate drops on switch don’t impact how much I enjoy it at all!

If you just donated the five things to get the axe, then a character will arrive tomorrow and he will teach you the shovel. (Tomorrow in real life time… it resets at 4 am local time for you I think!)

You’ll need to donate some bugs or fish to Tom Nook in ACNH to get the shovel— in the early game Tom Nook has some DIY workshop quests that helps you learn about the axe to craft. If you skip that part of the game you can buy it from Nook’s Cranny.

I am seriously enjoying it on Switch. There is some stuttering, frame rate drops from time to time, but the humor is good and gameplay fun enough that I do not mind the hiccups. Just keep in mind: You do not at all need the deluxe edition. The Deluxe just helps you get some of the items early!

I actually love that! One of the harvest moon games I played I named everything something musical. Like my horse was named Allegro, my farm Rhythm Farm, etc. I like to pick a theme and build around it. What better theme than your media library!

That also could be because of the picture saturation too, but I think because it’s a green/brown/gold I would call this eye color Hazel! What color were you thinking?
