Youβll be a hero. Like the Canadian soldiers that gave my Mom an orange and a pencil when they liberated the Netherlands. π

@theguardian.com regularly has great photography features, often linked to an exhibit opening. Iβve also found local/regional photo organizations and photographers who like to elevate fellow artists helpful.

These are great. And the intro by Hank Willis Thomas also. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. Encouraging to hear American voices recognizing what weβre facing and standing with us.

I wonder if emailing the head office may help. Mention youβre a regular shopper there who is making decisions about what to buy and where to shop. Worth a try.

As a first step in moving away from made in USA cereal Iβve switched to some made in Canada by a US company (Post). Itβs an imperfect move but I think the right direction. Iβd like to keep supporting those workers and communities (e.g. Peterborough with Quaker) but it does bring mixed feelings.

Another reason for Canadians and everyone else to stop buying American food and nutrition products. π’

These are so beautiful. Great to see the history of capturing snowflakes also.
A modern talent at this craft/skill is @donkom.bsky.social. Hereβs a set of snowflake images that heβs created as an example.

Very nice portraits. They definitely exude positive emotions. Joy for example.

Wow. That is brilliant. Thanks for sharing the link and details. Will enjoy reading that. ππ»

Wow! That looks incredible! Iβll have to look back on your posts for more details. Looks like a cyborg hybrid of old and new tech. And I noted the panorama feature. Iβd love to do more pano film photos (currently just using a Sprocket Rocket). ππ»

Awesome. Do you design them yourself or find the plans/files from those good soils who make them freely available? (As I have done.π)

Very nice! Thanks for the reply and additional images too! ππ»
I 3D printed a lens cap for my Pen EE-3 but should look into grips as well for some of my film cameras.
(BTW I also shoot with Nikon mirrorless. ππ»)

Nice set of gear! I like the 3D printed grip (I assume) for the GR. And can I ask, what camera is that at the top left (fully black one)?

This expresses so well the fire and passion we Canadians are feeling right now. We need to go our own way, and find a new path apart from our southern neighbours.

We were considering family trips to the US this year. Those will not happen. We will travel within Canada instead.

Iβm trying to avoid politics also, but this is insane. Less than 1% of fentanyl gets into the US from Canada. He says avoid tariffs by moving your business to the US - but why do so when all US law is now based on his whims?! (His tariffs violate a Free Trade agreement that he negotiated.)

Thank you. This Canadian is rooting for Americans who are standing for sanity. ππ»

Glad I quit then a while ago. The seeming complete lack of leadership in so many tech companies is sad and sickening.

This brings to mind the psychotic bus hijacker in Dirty Harry, forcing the kids to sing βRow, Row, Row Your Boatβ. Just insane.
