Duncan donned a disguise and fired a blank-loaded pistol at point-blank range at two carefully selected participants, chosen β€œ...because they were close friends who would not expect anything like this to happen to them and who would be able to appreciate the event as I intended it” What an asshole.

It's a tragedy that she died for Trump's lie.

Downtown is just fine and open for business. The residential areas close to town are mostly back, but there's lots of visible debris in the areas near the main rivers. Small towns like Swannanoa, just east of Asheville, are still struggling with housing and supplies. Thanks for asking after us <3

I will be applying this concept to fitness from now on.

At least there is a line for these sycophants. A line that invokes mild disappointment, but still a line.

I should have already stopped posting there, this just made it easier to stop. Ugh.

They're also smiling and nodding while Trump tells them their children will have to get by with less as he literally gilds the oval office.

ok but Jesus wouldn't have a red light saber. Red is for Siths. Jesus is definitely a jedi.

I'm older than he is. I'd always assumed he was in his 50s. Must be all the brimstone and souls in his diet.

Nothing can happen until we have a majority in congress. It's pointless and toothless now.

his pants are just the same color as the sofa. legs are there, behind the unfortunate young girl's legs on the right.

You're a good dad. Personally I wouldn't take a cure if there was one. Yes it's difficult, but it's also a gift.

It's called diagnosis. Remember when Trump wanted to stop diagnosing Covid so the numbers of infected would look better? But of course RFK will say it's vaccines. Or swimming in pools, or eating pop tarts or using cling wrap or some nonsense.

One day, far into the future, someone in your sphere will have critical need of a 6' long serial cable. And you will look back and you will rue this day.

Ok but while elon is busy, the "peacetime" president Trump is fixin to invade Greenland. I keep telling myself it's only gonna be 4 years. We aren't going to make it.

Compared to how he actually looks, this portrait is quite flattering.

I learned to drive stick on a type 2 that my boyfriend at the time was restoring. I tend to be skeptical of remakes, but this one seems to have the right spirit. I look forward to seeing them on the road.

This is my autistic reality put so succinctly. Every time I have anything to do, I mentally project forward to what it's going to feel like to leave/go home/be finished. Every time. Doesn't matter if I'm looking forward to it or dreading it. Need it to be done.

He won't buy one. Like everything he says, it's a lie.

We are paying billionaires to take the money right out of our paychecks and enrich themselves. Meanwhile he hasn't even considered looking at his own government subsidies or those of big oil, pharma... They're boiling the frog.
comment in response to post
We pay taxes to billionaires so they can make our daily needs more expensive and take away services we rely on. This is where we are now, and it makes no sense that we accept it.
comment in response to post
I'm an exceptionally laid back person, generally shy. Yet I will make full eye contact and laugh at anyone I see driving or getting into/out an Incel Camino.

Everyone: You can ask your Dr. for a titer test to make sure you're protected if you don't have your vaccine records or you don't remember.

I would like to take an opportunity to speak for nearly all autistic people and say that we do not claim him.

He bought the presidency. Trump sold it for a get out of jail card. Musk is literally mad with power.

An ex-KGB agent who is a brilliant and nefarious manipulator versus a guy who looked right at the naked sun during an eclipse and thinks asylum seekers are people escaping mental hospitals. I can't believe anyone thinks Trump is going to "win" any negotiation with Putin.

They won't use a human's preferred name, but they'll go down swingin' about what we call a big ol pool of bathwater.
