I've seen more media coverage about VP Vance in 2 weeks than I ever saw about VP Harris in 4 years. Dislike him intensely, but he's assertive, articulate and looks like he could take over. Biden messed up badly choosing Harris, then made it worse by not hiding rather than prepping her to take over.

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record. They run them bc people react to them the most. If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change. It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

One of the reasons Twitter was great was that it punched way above its weight. It was able to because genuinely interesting conversations happened & people linked out to those things. BlueSky is doing this really well right now & have new & interesting tools that expand their reach. It’s very cool.
