I once parked my small car between 2 F150 trucks, greatest achievement of myself for that accomplishment, only wished I took a picture of that parking job tho

Add China onto the meme. They are absolutely laughing to the bank with all the soft power vacuum that the US left behind.

Oh no, they got Fake London too /s Jokes aside, that is wild a corporate can easily spread their tentacles across multiple media outlet that easily. Reminds me of that one video about Sinclair Broadcast Group having all local news outlet saying the same message. Ultra creepy.

I’m praying to the moon that Amtrak will survive this admin and beyond. Please, I’ve not have the opportunity to experience Amtrak yet, please don’t fk it up.

Why the hell you guys have an American propaganda outlet existing within your border? Let alone a right wing outlet. Would’ve half expected those to be boycott and banned by all Canadians by now.

Note this is Opinion board, may not reflect the whole WSJ standing. But whoever wrote that line, I owe them a round of their preferred’s drinks.

I didn’t move, but I traded a 15 mins car drive to a 35 mins bicycle commute, and my enjoyment and productivity increased noticeably. This is something all of us should experience for a week to realise how wonderful a commute outside of cars is.

P.s: I also saw your Discord submission review and thought I could chime in to the server to ask the folks before I found you on BSky, unfortunately I’m not ok financially yet to support your patreon (hopefully one day soon, maybe I’ll buy you a round irl just for the spitfire fiasco video).
comment in response to post
This is an odd coincidence, but I recently thought about your old video regarding “He shall not be named” and thinking about if Spitfire has dunked him yet, since I recently got their videos recommended on my timeline. Fortunately I found your thread just now, thank you for keeping up the good fight

It is still far to see if Digg can bring mass exodus from Reddit, but it would be interesting to see how this can be compared to “Twitter/X exodus to Bluesky” as Reddit is still quite progressive but politic neutral at times, while Twitter mass exodus was due to right wing takeover.

Aside from that, as a long term lurker on reddit, it’s frustrating still is the destruction of 3rd party app API fiasco and the site-wide ban on mass subreddit protesting, which all of this happens after Reddit gone IPO.

AMD might have cooked with the pricing here. Hopefully it will also be reliable (and not have a tendency to become a Fire Prevention PSA like the competitor)

Bike Lanes are a good start, and from bike lanes we can easier push for slightly larger but significant projects. And I just hope the more folks utilising bike lanes, the better we can use the data to push for public transit renewals, and others. Time for me to get back to work.
comment in response to post
This is not to say all those latter projects are zero-chance succeeding in the current US political landscape, but I do believe in “slow nudging” when it comes to overhauling the suburban project that has plagued how North America and some other parts of the world has been developing.
comment in response to post
This is yet further proves how public transit advocacy is still “not very sexy” to the average constituents in the US, and knowing this will help better understand how bike lane advocacy has easier footing against NIMBYs and Conservatives push against public transits or even public housing develops.

Car-centric developments, push for automotive dependancy, has and always has been revolving around the “self-reliance”, “independency”, “self-personalisation”. And I’ve seen this with my car-focused co-workers who have expressed better interest on me cycling to work than someone else taking the bus.

While they did mentioned some of the main points I’ve personally witness and heard from locals, there is one major point that is not only the driving force for the ease of cycling advocacy but also historical reason on how Car-centric developments has been popular and prevalent: Independency
