He's not even a typical human being let alone a typical president.
comment in response to

Kind of a naive take on it. He's the crazy not the people protesting.
comment in response to

Why would they say anything about it? They are part of it, it's all in their plans.
comment in response to
post
Exactly and when you consider they had the chance for real immigration reform last year but Republicans couldn't support it because of trump proves they are not serious about border security. It's all just power and optics to them
comment in response to

Seriously? Things are very different than in 2017, there are no guardrails now. It's not embracing defeat to consider where all this is headed. Look at their actions, it's not random.

It should be taken away anyway. They can afford to buy their own, even the ones that aren't millionaires or billionaires.

She is absolutely evil.
comment in response to

Some apology. So no more medical care because you're going to die anyway? And to bring Jesus into it. She's crazy.

This just makes me sick. Every Republican in Congress is responsible for this. They could have voted for the immigration bill and solved the problem but they chose to vote no because trump told them to. I wonder how they sleep at night or do they enjoy people suffering too?

It's all just a photo op for her.

The msn should read his posts every single day and then maybe the general public doesn't follow truth social would get a clue about the mental health of the current president.

Russia Ron has been right in there at times.

As a Wisconsinite I'm absolutely shocked. I would think this bill would be right up his alley. He must be holding out for something.

Wait, isn't this the Rick Scott who as CEO oversaw a company that was fined $1.7 billion for ripping off Medicare? Yeah, let's listen to him.

Does anyone ever ask any of them why the rich need tax cuts? Instead of going on the defense have them justify it. Watch them squirm and play the video over and over again in their districts.

The Bulwark is exactly what I'm talking about. They're never trumpers but they're still Republicans. They should clean up their own party, the people in Congress who actually have the power to end this nightmare. Take a look at Tim Miller's video from 2 days ago about Biden and read the comments.
comment in response to
post
Right, the former Rs that constantly spout this Biden bs while ignoring trump's decline and even never mention the actions of their party.
comment in response to

My point is the current talking point of the GOP is Dems in disarray and it takes the focus off what they are doing at the moment.
comment in response to
post
It's mind boggling that people keep blaming Dems for the actions and inaction of the people who are running the show.

I lost respect for Maddow since she put her ego and her vanity projects ahead of the good work she was doing with her show. Started watching a bit since she's been on all week but now she's gone back to one night so I'm done. You have to wonder why she would veto Keith who helped her career.

Because they're not law enforcement officers, they are cosplay security thugs that aren't qualified to guard a warehouse.

I guess he'll be getting rid of Labor Day.
comment in response to
post
Yep, put the blame where it belongs, on the Republicans in Congress who can actually do something about this nightmare. I don't think they're afraid of him. they have the power to get rid of him whenever they want.
comment in response to

It's also the thing we've been forced to pay into all of our working lives.
comment in response to

I hope she pushed back on this. btw he's looking pretty rough.

What department of the federal government is paying for the prison in El Salvador? Doesn't Congress have oversight?
comment in response to
post
What are they afraid of? They have the power, he should be afraid of them.
comment in response to
post
It's called lying. Full stop.
comment in response to

They never mention bringing back the 1950s corporate tax rate.
comment in response to
post
How about focusing on the Republicans who actually have the ability to end this nightmare before the country is destroyed.
comment in response to
post
And this year Congress will decide with the billionaire corporations. How about some pressure on the Republicans who have the ability to stop this nightmare?
comment in response to
post
Especially when they are incarcerating these people with no due process and call it deportation.
comment in response to
post
The US government is paying El Salvador for the prison but who is authorizing it and what department are the funds coming from? Why isn't there any oversight?
comment in response to
post
Yes, it was shocking. I live in WI and in 2020 there were trump signs everywhere. In 2024 it was the opposite, Harris signs everywhere and very few trump.

He said he didn't need the votes several times at his rallies. Considering all things he's done right out in the open since he's been in office, I wouldn't put anything past him.
comment in response to
post
No, that's what trump thinks his job is, just a big reality show.
comment in response to
post
He seems to be mentally impaired. Where are all the Republicans demanding he step down?
comment in response to
post
They won't and the farmers will still support trump.

Derrick Van Orden in WI needs to go! We're being bombarded by his ads, someone is spending a lot of money already. He says he's fighting for our Social Security, yeah to take it away.
comment in response to

He has no clue how many things are no longer made in the US thanks to greedy corporations.

I went to vote today and there was a sign on the door limiting it to 10 am-1 pm, it was always the regular office hours in the past. I suggest verifying the hours before you go.
comment in response to

They're like children playing government, they have no idea what what the job actually is and what it requires.
comment in response to

They need to give a daily press conference as quickly as things are happening. Would have been nice if they had stood up for Al Green, too. Those paddles at the speech were embarrassing, made them look weak.
comment in response to
post
Except for a few they are not objecting and informing the people! They could at least show a little opposition.
comment in response to

I think anyone in public life gets death threats now and we know Dems get them also. Why don't they all come forward, there is strength in numbers.
comment in response to
post
I think the threats they're talking about are from trump if they don't comply. We know he threatens to primary them, maybe even do more?
comment in response to

I cancelled over a year ago and it was way past time to do it then.

Can you imagine how sick in the head you have to be when you could be doing anything you want but all you want to do is to make life miserable for others?
comment in response to

Well, that's a nice way to put it.

It's not going to matter if we don't have a country. Wake up! Deal with this stuff later.
