For him, everything prior to the Depression was fantastic, the event itself had nothing to do with greed (unless it's worker greed), and the New Deal was a massive overcorrection that must be done with. Trans people are just the scrapegoats de jour.

I'm hoping if my dad says something like this to me, I can get him to examine where he gets his information from and maybe turn him towards more unbiased sources.

Recent PBS Wisconsin article on the race. I'm hoping we can knock the conservative candidate out of the race so it's a choice between Democrats for the position on April 1st. There'll be enough right-wing crap to wade through for the State Supreme Court race. pbswisconsin.org/news-item/wh...

To be clear, other parts of the state have more local races on their ballots. But where I live, it's just the State Superintendent primary race.

Have a contact list of all the normal press conference reporters, and after rejecting Musk, go to your office and do an open Q&A Zoom call with the contact list. Make them pull you from your office or shut down your connection live.

The Democrats should be pouring over the obstruction of the the Obama and Biden years, and adopting every play.

Bluesky doesn't do long threads well, at least on PC. Clicking Reply, you're often brought back to the top post to scroll down to what you're replying to. Just mentioning because it may be why you're not seeing many comments and wanted to say this was a fantastic thread and thank you for posting.

I dimly knew he passed, but not at 43. Such a career that ended much too soon, so much more that could have been.

Agree, one of the best depictions of Magneto's anger toward the Nazis in the comics.

Disney really screwed up Flag Smasher and their organization in the Falcon and Winter Soldier series. Had no problem with gender switch, but should have been much bigger and threatening, also deserved a costume/symbol of their own.

Imagine if Billy Carter owned a car dealership and sold the US State Department the 70s equivalent of $400 million worth of armored Ford Pintos.

Would love to see gaming companies partner with libraries to offer DLCs for reading programs.

I really want to see a sales comparison between the US and Canada for Teslas just to watch the plunge this week.

We were doing an exercise involving impersonations in an improv class a couple of years ago, and I did Bobcat Goldthwait. Afterwards, my scene partner still had no idea who he was, and all the aging years hit me at once.

3/ He was a proud American, incredibly conservative, and undoubtedly turning in his grave at what our idiot leadership is trying to do to Canada.

2/ After the war, he joined the fire department and eventually became deputy fire chief. He was extremely bilingual, but pushed his kids to prioritize English. Probably why the main French Canadian phrase I know is something sacrilegious that I'm probably mispronouncing all these decades later.

I can't imagine any FBI employees happy with this, or investigators being targeted for that matter.

This is the AIs warning us. "You think you know how bad the AI apocalypse will be? It won't just be like Maximum Overdrive. Nah, dog. It'll be like Maximum Overdrive if it were directed by David Lynch."

A fantastic show that deserves a reboot/continuation, and there's so much they could do with the current times and the Peacekeepers.
