I really hope there is, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the settings or download UI

The Epic launcher is still just worse than Steam in a lot of facets, despite all the fortnite money they could have been throwing into its development. Not being able to cap download speed in particular makes EGS really clunky for my usage cases

The culprit embeds in question seemed to be tagged as images instead of videos. This fix in the second image's alt text seemed to work for me, although there might be some special puzzmo UI for video controls that you'd rather use than the browser's inbuilt

Seems broken on my phone too. Looking at the network tab, the requests for the video files themselves seem to be 200 OK but they aren't showing up in the sources tab where the other embeds are. Strange?

Windows 10, Microsoft Edge, although it also seems to be broken for me on Chrome and Firefox
Will check my phone to see if it works there!

Might just be me, but the embeds for the glossary first draft and completed video seem broken! Enjoyed the article though :)

disclaimer: the article does kinda take way too long to get to the actual adjective part. if you're only interested in that ctrl+f to "frictionary"
comment in response to
post
this reminds me of a really fun article that suggested adjectives for different types of (game design) friction. i don't agree with all of them, but there are some really fun ones (favourites: crispy friction, chunky friction) kotaku.com/in-praise-of...

Old valve contributed some of the most influential games ever made, and now modern valve just chooses to do tech demos in various amounts of trenchcoat

youtube personally, apart from maybe soundcloud it has the most stuff including remixes of existing songs or really niche things. tried to get into spotify but too many songs I liked were missing

PAX 2023 was my first dark room and I didn't know how it could be topped, so being there again in 2024 and having my expectations absolutely blown away was phenomenal. Great memories from this one

I like Vlambeer's approach where they try to give as many "offramps" to the player as possible, progression points where there might be more to do but you can still feel satisfied finishing your time with the game if you choose

Even though nintendo's sequel hardware track record is ABYSMAL I feel like switch 2 might come through after a few years kinda like the switch 1. thats purely on vibes tho, maybe a price cut on the console itself down the line might help in that regard
comment in response to
post
the switch 2 itself is a pretty brutal price point too, I might pass on it

and one-to-one outputs, which is admittedly cool for a lot of Human Stuff we can't do in traditional videogames but it also means I think we've seen a lot less innovation in VR control schemes outside of locomotion
