Just saw a Park Ranger stop traffic on the road so he could push a large snapping turtle to safety. A large and angry snapping turtle. It was a no mood to be rushed. It made me very happy and I was laughing my dupa off at the same time.

Truly, this would be life-changing. It's something we've been building at Every State Blue by creating grassroots communities that do this work in Red States on our own. it's easy to feel hopeless. Just going out, even on a crummy day like this, and being with others who are doing what they can, is so invigorating. I often think they want us hopeless. Being involved gives me hope. I highly recommend doing something, anything. It helps, in these dark days.
