Do you mean the CBC both-sided Covid, because every media outlet, government and health official also both-sided Covid? They did, not sure if I’d lay all the blame on Ian though - still

I think we can tone down the hate on Ian. He’s very good at what he does. Comes across as sincere and inquisitive. The idea for the show surely wasn’t his and when you have a job, sometimes you’re asked to do things you may not 100% agree with. Keven on the other hand, is a giant piece of shit.

Well I listened to the whole thing, so you didn't have to. AMA!
PS inviting on David Frum AND Kevin O'Leary? Really? And no left/progressive voices from Canada as invited guests? Wow

He disagrees with the quote and then says he’s doing what the quote accuses him of doing. Got it!

What the hell is the federal government doing??? Once this starts you can’t stop it. This all centres on the foreign student limitations and it’s astonishing that the liberals are holding strong on this abysmal policy!

It’s very difficult to see how this assault on the constitutional order and democratic self-government can be defeated without a broad-scale mobilization of civil society.
But I’m also aware the Trumpists have been entirely clear they want to take radical measures to suppress protests.

In three years there will a stadium of white men giving the ‘heil hitler’ to Trump and they’ll write: “ the group at one moment gave a synchronized salute that harkened back to 2025 when Elon Musk gave a spastic arm gesture at Trumps inauguration “

In both the UK and the US, as soon as someone actually offered utterly fucking deranged frothing hatred as an offer on a ballot paper, presented on an equal footing with sensible options, it became clear that the majority of the conservative voter base had wanted that all along.

Between playing golf he managed to say the most offensive thing I’ve ever heard. I hope 1000 dead Ukrainian soldiers rise from their graves and strangle the orange-faced fucker to death slowly.

Democrats should introduce legislation to impeach Trump and call it the Jocelynn Rojo Carranza Act

The tone of my voice is petulance and impatience. Put me in a room with a crying baby and I’d shake it to death.

Imagine, in an alternate universe, the NYT deciding they weren’t going to help launder this regime by covering it as politics-as-usual and would instead articulate with clarity and consistency to its readers how outlandish and dangerous this stuff is. Wouldn’t that be something.

I think part of Trumps power comes from not being threatening. If Vance said the same thing Trump says, people would freak out. Trump says it and it’s oddly nonthreatening. I don’t know if it’s partly because he’s so stupid, but he gets passes that no one else would.

2. The far right is, and has always been, opportunistic. It has no ideological consistency because it doesn't care: it will steal anyone's clothes if they fit. It doesn't care because it is a psychopathic movement, which treats both people and ideas as mere instruments.

Anyway, I am glad that the editor at Art in America let me write the piece I wanted to write. If you'd like to read it in full, you can find it here: www.artnews.com/art-in-ameri...

Trump and “voters” nominally are the easiest targets for blame and yet to me, I will never not be the most mad at Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats for attempting to “move on” or “do a unity” instead of doing the hard but critical work of securing our government and preventing authoritarianism.
