Ok, so I work in post production in the film industry. What you're talking about is essentially the fact that streamers/solo artists have to perform the functions of an entire team of collaborative specialists on their own. I'm currently doing this myself for Oops, All Witches. +

Not to um actually you Lucas, but I don't think it took any brainwashing. Lots of practices make companies more productive/profitable, like 4-day work weeks, diversifying boards, and creating respectful company cultures (reduces turnover). The suits care more about controlling labor than profit.

I think Taylor Moore's term "narrative play" is helpful here. As a storyteller, I'm the opposite. My attention wanders when I listen to too much math and mechanics. I'm here for immersive, collaborative stories. I'd swap NP for AP if we could get the terminology circulating more widely.
