This area is in desperate need of pedestrian crossing improvements anyway so this seems like a good plan

It's wild that honoring the 1972 NFC champions team at that game is roughly the equivalent of honoring that '99 team at a game today

Same. It not being a solid bar meant it could be way bigger without obscuring more of the action

Yeah it was interesting to see in the reddit boycott posts that as strong as the "we should stop looking to x so we didn't support fascists" push was, just as many people were on the "we should stop linking to x because it's just a terrible experience" train

Not only that, streaming services should let you actually watch the credits for more than 10 seconds before auto playing a preview of what to watch next!

Is it like a McRib situation and they just want to generate a flurry of publicity every time they take it out and bring it back?

I think that's a good choice. They signed a player this year named Saquon Barkley whose old team refused to pay him top $, believing running backs were interchangeable. He's proven that is....very much not the case.
The city greases all the light poles before big games and fans try to climb them 🤣

Ugh, if West Ham is as it is portrayed in Ted Lasso - that is, the mega franchise with the rich asshole owner: you'd be a Dallas Cowboys fan. I'm not a PL guy, so I'd need to know more about their vibe to give you a better answer

Another thing that trips up soccer fans is out of bounds isn't a turnover, just the end of that play. Ways possession changes: successful score, kicking ball away, losing control of ball and def picks it up, def catching pass out of the air, or failing to get the 10 yds of progress after 4 tries.

Biggest frustration for soccer fans typically is play stops between each down. Keep in mind that this is where the chess match btwn coaches is happening. Offense has many ways to line up and hundreds of plays to choose. Defense is trying to guess the play based on offense lineup & react accordingly

Think of it as trench warfare simulation. They take turns trying to move the ball into opp's end zone, worth 6 pts. You get 4 chances (aka 4 downs) to move the ball 10 yards (yellow line on TV). 4th down typically kick, either thru uprights for 3 pts or to opponent to push their starting spot back

2 weeks ago I was lamenting that the expanded playoff format absorbed all the good bowls, but this is making me rethink that.
Pop tart memes are the best consolation prize if we've gotta miss out on the playoffs and Heisman

Obviously the "concerns" about size and scale and character and yada yada are classic NIMBY, but I too wouldn't love having a grocery store loading dock pop up across the street. That thing is going to be busy and is in a different category from a lot of retail.

Here's my question: Do Lyft drivers disproportionally love this music or is it really that popular and taking Lyfts is the only time I'm exposed to music outside my bubble of people who would never listen to that?
