Much better than fucking Bobby Kotick.

Honestly can’t wait to watch it turn into complete and utter garbage. (More so than what it is now)

Paige Transcend pants are the most comfortable pants I’ve ever worn. They can be pricey but you can get them at Nordstroms Rack for cheaper than Paige’s store. I just got 3 pair because they have been the most comfortable pants I’ve ever worn.

How does it run?

Yeah, that’s a fair point.
I remember hearing he wanted Canada to become the 51st state. Maybe he’s trying to strong arm them into it?
It’s hard to understand the inner workings of the mind of a fucking psychopath.

Feels like it’s just him keeping his promises to his base. He said he would do it. Now he’s doing it. He’s asserting power in the dumbest way possible.

I’d have a much easier time doing a first person game with fewer animations or something, but I prefer 3rd person.

100%. I just started diving into Game Dev and people keep talking about making smaller games, which I do agree with. Make something small that’s complete, but also work on the thing you really want to make.

Blue for sure!

As and American, apologies. We did not all vote for this. It’s embarrassing.

Well that’s because it’s a terrible combination.
I for one think you should always keep fruit and chocolate separate.

Good to know. Thank you!

I played U4 a couple years ago and enjoyed it. I’ve recently been considering trying out Lost Legacy. Is it worth it?

Generally, for sure. It was a fun game but doesn’t kick your ass.
The challenge levels later on made me want to pull my fucking hair out.

Oh weird. I've heard the opposite from other people.

I do want to play the new Batman game soon though.

I don't think most people want to be stuck in a bulky headset most of the time.
I have a Quest 3 and never use it. I have games I would love to play in VR, but always prefer "flat" games that require less of me. Also motion sickness, etc.
Love the tech though!

The details are important.

If you have any tips from what you’ve learned so far, I’m all ears.
I’m coming from filmmaking/VFX, so trying to utilize games to tell the stories that I want to tell. I’m sure I’ll get there!

Yeah, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around it since the first GASP, and I don’t think I’m really any further along. Heck, even getting state machine stuff to work is confusing. I think I figure it out, and then I realize I don’t know anything. Lol.
But I’m still having fun and pushing forward.

Probably stealth/action/horror.

You could probably take the animation assets from the Epic Motion Matching project and repurpose them into state machines.
Thank you! Still needs a lot of work. The end is pretty bare, but having a lot of fun just playing.

This is actually using the Game Animation Sample Motion Matching stuff.
I’m just using it as temp for now. Motion Matching seems pretty daunting to learn in 2 weeks. Lol

This game is the 4th Nazi killing game by Machine Games? They really want people to know how much they hate Nazis.
Good on them.

Is that not just for non-gaming related stuff? I assume the AI stuff for games is just frame generation/DLSS upscaling, and other AI junk is for non-gaming applications, but not 100% sure on that.
Either way, it’s trash.

I don’t feel so bad about getting laid off myself now.

I love seeing these block outs!

I think it only jumps out to me when it messes with visuals. Alan Wake 2 had some weird visual stuff when you turned, so turning it off helped with aliasing.

Just not a motion blur fan? Does it add a performance hit using it?

Nice! Well Cryptica is looking really cool so far!

How long have you been at it? I’m a filmmaker who dove into learning Game Dev/Unreal this past year.
