Correcting prior post: @dangrzybek.bsky.social has his County Commissioner hat on and gives us an update, then changes to Democrat hat and talks about the open seat at large… then adds surrogate hat and addresses the committee for Hilary Wheatley and Matt Rudzki.

My personal favorite is when I get accusatory statements about things I addressed on the very app they are yelling at me on. Like babe I want to challenge non-profit status too. I literally just cosponsored a bill with the intent of working towards that goal!

I think it's also important to note that electoral viability was a concern going into the '24 election when the County Executive introduced her 2.2 mill proposal, and we really didn't see that at all. Allegheny County was one of the best performers not only PA, but nationwide.

I'm actually very much in favor of reassessments. I think the way that we levy taxes is grossly unfair. That being said, we are almost assuredly going to be court-ordered to do one if and when Pittsburgh Public Schools wins their lawsuit against the county.
