Yeah, that was earlier - the protestors stopped ICE from leaving. I want they're for that part. All the other chaos happened after 7 pm.

The protestors were on the sidewalks surrounding the ice building. The cops started blocking streets so some people moved into the street. When we got there from Riverfront Park (everyone still peaceful), that's when the cops started shooting pepper balls and rubber bullets.

As the person organizing our local Tesla protests, I follow only some of the rules (because my info is already all over the event) lol I do provide water and snacks and have a first aid kit on standby though! And yes, everyone should stay as safe as they can.

I get the sense that a lot of people see protesting as cringe because they don't understand what it accomplishes, and I get that... to them, I say: just go. Experience what it feels like to be part of a Very Large Crowd of your fellow citizens. That feeling has radical political implications.
