Or do you mean in this screenshot that if 2nd has 63,000 points and 3rd has, say, 11300, then third pays 14, second gets 2 and then first would get the remaining 12?

But your article doesn’t list the chip amounts for first place, you just say they get the rest of the pot. What pot, then?

How many chips are put in the pot at the start of a hanchan by each player?

You wouldn't download a commercial retail chain of... uhh... pharmacy-electronics stores? What the hell IS London Drugs. I digress.

I read through them. Interesting how the 2nd player can earn a lot of chips if they perform well themselves. The rules seem pretty straightforward otherwise!

I would argue that the president in Idiocracy actually wanted to fix problems, something the current president seems uninterested in

That being said, I believe that the Mr. Christie cookie products are all made in factories in Canada by Canadian workers… So much like many other Canadian subsidiaries of American companies it’s not so cut and dried.
The two mainstream cookie companies that are purely Canadian are Dare and Leclerc.

Yup… That’s what happens when Canadian companies get bought up by American companies… The money all runs up to the top.

Since when is Mondelez, an international conglomerate based in Chicago, not American? 30 seconds on Wikipedia…

Indeed. A true product of love for animation… and the animators including Hideaki Anno went on to start Gainax studio (Nadia, Wings of Honneamise, Neon Genesis Evangelion)
I saw this 25 years ago and it still is amazing today.

Ben and Adam have been quite clear that this is a low research Star Trek podcast!

He was responding to the reporter who he suggested was trying to use Canada as a wedge issue between the UK and the USA.

The full statement: "You mentioned Canada... I think you’re trying to find a divide between us that doesn’t exist. We’re the closest of nations and we had very good discussions today but we didn't discuss Canada."
The "we" and "us" is very much the UK and US in this quote, sadly.

All Starmer had to say in response to the reporter's question about annexation of Canada was that Canada is a sovereign nation

Oh, we're well aware here in BC. Between the Alberta UCP government and the BC Conservatives we see these shills and crackpots lining up at the trough.

Although I appreciate your sense of urgency, Tim is the Governor of Minnesota and as such has little/no influence at the Federal level.
