I was really lucky to be able to attend E3 (including some of the big Sony and Microsoft events) several times over the years through work. But even just as a fan, I definitely miss that annual sense of excitement and anticipation that E3 delivered. A few photos from years' past ...

Also filed in the “yeah, we all know this” column. But if Elon wants to remind people about it and go to war with Trump… by all means.

But who could have ever seen this coming ....?

HALLOWEEN TEAM Vol. 2 - coming this Fall! Art by rising star Bugra Batuhan Berah and the returning, mighty Matt Shults. Catch up on Vol.1 now!

An Uncharted-esque 007 / Bond game? Yes, sign me up.

Shut up and take my money.

Okay, so yesterday I mentioned that I've been working to get classic movies live to buy/rent digitally for the first time ever. Some of these launched today! Like The 'Burbs, The Four Seasons, Sweet Liberty, and This Island Earth. Also newly live today: 4 films in the INVISIBLE MAN franchise!

One more exciting new-to-digital movie, out now, that I'll mention tonight. It's one of the all-time sci-fi movie classics - 1955's THIS ISLAND EARTH. You can now buy or rent it digitally for the first time!

Earlier I mentioned The 'Burbs. Now, another great movie gem that just released for the first time ever: THE FOUR SEASONS. Yes, this is the Alan Alda directed movie - starring Alda and Carol Burnett - that inspired the recent Netflix series of the same name. Finally available to rent/buy digitally!

Okay: something fun! For my work I've been spearheading a major project to finally release a lot of movies for the first time EVER on digital transactional - meaning you can buy or rent them digitally for the first time via Apple, Amazon, Fandango, etc. As they roll out, I'll try to post highlights.

Oh man. Been a listener of WTF for a long, long time now. Few interviewers have the ability to get guests to open up and be honest and open and revealing like Marc Maron - and some of the most fascinating interviews I've ever heard have been via his podcast. www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/dig...

3 years now since I got COVID that would become an ongoing struggle with Long COVID. 3 years of debilitating symptoms - chief among them elevated BP and easily-triggered lightheadedness - that just won't go away despite various incremental improvements. I tell my story. I hope some will listen.

So I went in with pretty low expectations (marketing for this one was ... not great) but I actually quite enjoyed KARATE KID: LEGENDS. Charming, brisk, and with a good amount of heart - Ben Wang gives us a likeable new protagonist, and Macchio + Jackie Chan are really fun together. A crowd-pleaser.

DC’s ongoing METAMORPHO series - brilliantly and hilariously written by Al Ewing - has become one of my favorite monthly comics. It perfectly captures the silly campiness of silver age comics - as well as stuff like the classic Adam West Batman series. If that’s your bag, it’s a must-read.

@tonykhan.bsky.social - give us the R-Truth / Danhausen team we need, asap!

Watching the clips from the final installment of The NBA on TNT / Inside the NBA. Man ... in its heyday, nothing was better as a young basketball fan than Inside the NBA. If NBC was the NBA as blockbuster movie, Inside was the NBA as smoky late-night comedy club. Often, it was TV's funniest show.

Fun night of legendary rock music tonight at the Greek Theater in LA, where Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening marked 50 years of Physical Graffiti. Interesting mix of iconic classics and deeper cuts. Guitarist Jimmy Sakurai absolutely shredded. And Bonham shared some great stories about his dad.

Very late to this party, but I have just today discovered the comedy of Robby Hoffman. Hilarious.

Re-watching Steven Spielberg’s A.I.: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE for the first time since I saw it in theaters 24 years ago, and … is this the best-looking movie ever made?! Like, it puts just about every big budget movie made today to shame. The sets! The f/x! The lighting!

Ummm … yeah, maybe it’s good that screenwriting contests are dying.

I got back into playing ASTRO BOT this past week and this game is pure magic, top to bottom.

It’s funny how all the social media screenwriting advice is either: a.) You can DEFINITELY break in, but just remember: you’re going to have to write, you know, 3-4 scripts before you do! or b.) You will NEVER break in unless you meet the following 37 point, largely impossible criteria!

The amount of times that I blasted "Real American" as a kid to get the ol' blood pumping ... RIP to a rock n' roll legend in Rick Derringer.

New heroes. New villains. New art team. And a brand new EPIC story that picks up where the original left off. So get excited, because ... HALLOWEEN TEAM, VOL. 2 is coming soon!

That Timeless Toni Storm / Mercedes Mone segment that closed out #AEWDynamite was so good. Epic, even. Some great promo segments and storytelling tonight overall.

I keep thinking about that one Aunt Lydia moment from the penultimate The Handmaid's Tale episode. Man. That was powerful, epic stuff.

Oh man, the hyper-specificity of 34-year-old tech CEO Summer in the RICK & MORTY premiere … disturbingly on-point.

Show me the science that the risk of an adverse effect from the vaccine is worse than the risk of long-term effects from COVID. If you don't have that data, then what are we even doing here other than pointless political posturing?

Stayed up last night to watch THE HANDMAID'S TALE series finale. Thank you to the remarkable cast (Elisabeth Moss: all-timer performance) and crew of this show, who through two Trump adminstrations gave us a stark vision of what Gilead looks like, but also a rallying cry to inspire us to fight back.
