Guess I picked a good (?) day to watch Episode 8 of ANDOR S2 ...

Based on my (white, Jewish, elder Millennial) Facebook feed ... the new Spaceballs movie is poised to be, by far, the highest grossing movie ever made

Stayed up late last night to finish writing the final issue of HALLOWEEN TEAM Vol. 2. I've never written any sort of sequel or story continuation before, and it was so rewarding to go back and spend more time with these characters and close out some of the plot threads from Vol. 1. More to come!

This is what authoritarianism looks like. We are in it now. Trump and his stooges can't handle dissent, so they simply remove it with force.

Great piece - worth a watch.

RIP to one of the great musical geniuses of our lifetime. Growing up, the one band that my entire family could agree on for long car trips was The Beach Boys. Their music and Brian Wilson's music transcended time and space and gave good vibrations to generations.

The Mayor of LA has issued a curfew tonight — not because the citizens are out of control BUT BECAUSE THE PRESIDENT IS.

Well said. Everyone - Democrat, Republican, whatever - needs to stand up and stand together in this moment and say enough is enough. No kings in America.

Looks like the fire in the Burbank hills is now more contained - thankfully. Stay safe, fellow Burbank-ians!

Protesting is not a crime.

Seeing some of the first full pages of art come in for HALLOWEEN TEAM Vol. 2. And they are looking incredible! Our new artist Buğra Batuhan Berah is doing some amazing, epic work - and it's been so cool seeing his take on the returning characters as well as his designs for the new ones.

The fact that Trump thinks this way should be, in and of itself, grounds for impeachment and removal from office.

Average LA resident: (trying to get their dog to poop before bed) The president of the United States:

What in the af is Trump talking about. Los Angeles was sunny and peaceful and tranquil today … save for a small area in downtown where Trump tried to manufacture a violent conflict for his own selfish reasons. The ultimate drama queen. If conflict and violence indeed escalates, it’s 100% on him.

Also, thanks to The Life of Chuck, “Dance Hall Days” will now be in my head for all eternity (as if it wasn’t already).

Sometimes, it takes those who dwell in darkness to show us the light. And in the case of THE LIFE OF CHUCK, two masters of horror in Mike Flanagan and Stephen King use their innate understanding of terror and dread to craft an unlikely, timely story of hope and inspiration. I loved this movie.

Happening right here in LA. Trump’s war on non-white immigrants is an absolute stain on this country and what it is supposed to represent.

Read a screenplay for a major upcoming movie by a highly regarded writer. It was really good, very funny. And it also had a few typos, which made me, as a writer, feel great.

Just saw THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME. Really enjoyed - as the film showcased Wes Anderson’s trademark eye for visual detail, and also had tons of great comedic performances Bonus: there’s a whole Phoenician Scheme exhibit at the ol’ Burbank AMC 16 - filled with props and sets from the movie! Pretty cool.

#SummerGameFest … pretty weak this year overall. Some gems, but the show felt plodding and there was a ton of same-y filler. Very little in the way of games that looked truly next level or jaw dropping. Sony’s State of Play was stronger - but man, this is a far cry from the E3 showcases of old.

!!!

I was really lucky to be able to attend E3 (including some of the big Sony and Microsoft events) several times over the years through work. But even just as a fan, I definitely miss that annual sense of excitement and anticipation that E3 delivered. A few photos from years' past ...

Also filed in the “yeah, we all know this” column. But if Elon wants to remind people about it and go to war with Trump… by all means.

But who could have ever seen this coming ....?

HALLOWEEN TEAM Vol. 2 - coming this Fall! Art by rising star Bugra Batuhan Berah and the returning, mighty Matt Shults. Catch up on Vol.1 now!

An Uncharted-esque 007 / Bond game? Yes, sign me up.

Shut up and take my money.

Okay, so yesterday I mentioned that I've been working to get classic movies live to buy/rent digitally for the first time ever. Some of these launched today! Like The 'Burbs, The Four Seasons, Sweet Liberty, and This Island Earth. Also newly live today: 4 films in the INVISIBLE MAN franchise!

One more exciting new-to-digital movie, out now, that I'll mention tonight. It's one of the all-time sci-fi movie classics - 1955's THIS ISLAND EARTH. You can now buy or rent it digitally for the first time!

Earlier I mentioned The 'Burbs. Now, another great movie gem that just released for the first time ever: THE FOUR SEASONS. Yes, this is the Alan Alda directed movie - starring Alda and Carol Burnett - that inspired the recent Netflix series of the same name. Finally available to rent/buy digitally!

Okay: something fun! For my work I've been spearheading a major project to finally release a lot of movies for the first time EVER on digital transactional - meaning you can buy or rent them digitally for the first time via Apple, Amazon, Fandango, etc. As they roll out, I'll try to post highlights.
