Trying to find an article I think you linked and came across this, so I gotta point you to @anim-ttrpgs.bsky.social's works. Eureka is their most complete game atm, and it's very intentional about its game design, as well as their various essays about their ideas on their Tumblr blog.

I just...what were you expecting out of this? Gratitude? Satisfaction? You're tearing someone else down while lying to yourself that you're doing a good deed "revealing the truth" to them, then reinforcing your worldview when it turns out nobody likes being told not to dream.

You should learn that most people aren't looking for a stranger to come with all the answers, especially when the "answers" are "That'll never happen" and "Sorry you didn't want to hear that."

Most importantly, do you think about the things you say to strangers, or do you have some kind of warped savior complex? From a quick look at your page, you have an obsession with "truth," and I'm sorry for whatever you've been through, but it is not a universal experience.

Does his post sound like expectations to you, rather than like dreams or hopes or wishes? Do you go around just telling people that no one will ever care for them and expect gratitude?

I made this comic from a true story my Union dad told me. Watch out for these sneaky Union buster tricks. Don’t let them rile you, and Hold the Line.

One, did you actually post a Google AI overview of why AI won't take jobs for the first picture? Two, AI not being a reason to replace workers doesn't mean that the gullible higher-ups won't get suckered in to thinking they can anyway, considering all the layoffs in seemingly every type of business.

Would it maybe be related to how pixel art looked on CRTs? We're used to pixel art now I think in part because of an era of future game devs playing roms on better screens, but the devs of the time (I think) wouldn't have considered a CRT filter to maintain the image on a shiny new flatscreen

Why...respond like this? This person was just correcting some misunderstandings that you and possibly others had. Your attempt to be witty isn't even related to anything they said or implied. You're allowed to learn without shame.

The bit from your article about it where you have an aside about the foley of rolling down a window still sticks with me for some reason.

For a sec I thought that was LegendaryFrog and had a Butterfly Effect style flashback. But I was just watching an animation, so I came back to the same place.

Remake some of those mediocre 360-era shooters like Fracture and Damnation that had interesting ideas and just didn't have the time/tech to execute on them.

Like just really. If it were already the case science agreed with the transphobes then the transphobes would not need to fundamentally change the way science is funded in the US and use monetary threats to force the (published) science to start agreeing with them. This is all very unsubtle.
