but that's the beauty of #theatre. it's an ephemeral moment shared by performer and audience breathing the same air, sharing the same energy. it's sorta like magic.

Yeah, and I’m not dragging them. There are just so many wonderful ways of writing screenplays.

And again, because someone decided to parachute in and stir the "Old People Are Why Trump Won!" line -- no. It was WHITE PEOPLE. Including a lot of younger ones. I will trust older Black folks over younger white ones any damn day, frankly.

His utter failure at this moment will be the defining event of his political career.

Does he have an Immunity Idol? Senate needs to force him out. These ancient egos will never 'step aside.'

I'm shocked they didn't just paint "CONTINUE" over the word "END."

it's the classic 'playing chess with a pigeon' scenario. All it does is knock the pieces over, shit on the board, then strut around like it won.

Agreed. I *think* we'll weather this storm, but the lost opportunity cost is staggering. Trump/GOP has cost us a generation (at least) of actual progress. Once again the adults the room have to drop everything to clean up baby shit.

Amen. This is what I think of every time I watch an "Independence Day" type film. They always show the countries of earth banding together to fight a larger menace. But half of U.S. wouldn't even wear a fucking mask.

Eric, a question: When querying, are there 'third rail' comps/authors to avoid? E.g., can I safely use, say, a Neil Gaiman novel as a comp, in spite of allegations?

Terrifying and tariffying.

Seems counterintuitive but 1st rounds r always hardest to break thru bc that's where worst readers are. I had a script that failed to advance past 1st rd of smaller comps win AFF (w/no changes). Get thru 1st round, your writing gets a better chance to shine (esp. true for quirky stories/writing).

It's insane. There is an entire media ecosystem built around the far right (Twitter/TS/Rogan/FOX, etc) literally coordinating & echoing anti-Democratic talking points.
