Ahh yes, the guy who doesn't think the government uses SQL knows more about computers than anybody. That's like saying a pastry chef doesn't use flour. Occasionally they won't, but the vast majority it's the main thing they use.

Who's jurisdiction? Was it on Federal or city land?

I really hope he didn't leave Doctor Who for this. He was announced shortly after leaving that role.

So the hat wasn't just to advertise Nike, it was to hide his hair. I know he was outside most of the time, but still, that's a lot of skin damage.

He sounds really scottish in that.

He's 49? From that picture I would have guessed 60s or 70s.

The White House page still shows up on my Facebook. Usually there is a mix of people hating and loving what he posts, but even his supporters weren't nuts about this one. Oddly, the Report function doesn't seem to work for that page. How strange.

Which anyone who had ever dealt with a large database would realize

I want to know if he only searched for people who weren't dead in the system, but also for people who weren't dead and who were receiving benefits. Because I bet a fuckton of those are just old record still rattling around in the database.

One of the reasons I was so sad my parents sold the home I grew up in is because my first cat is buried there. I've had other cats, but he was the best.

I remember marching in New York asking for a pardon from Clinton 24 years ago. It's been such a long time coming.

We also have more disposable income on average. In part because we are a lot less likely to get pregnant and have children before we are financially ready.

Also, he really hates Native Americans.

I'm really hoping that's reverse psychology. Pointing out to Republicans that it would add a lot of blue voters to take the wind out of their sails.

Yesterday, after months of software ads bragging about AI features that make me less likely to by them, I finally heard an ad saying they used humans and not AI. Way more likely to buy that product.

Considering how many people are involved in moving planes around, there will almost certainly be a woman, POC, or queer person involved who Maga will blame.

Please don't use AI to summarize the news. BBC asked Apple to stop using it's feature to summarize news with AI because it was changing the meaning of headlines.

Never underestimate the power of cholesterol in a man whos doctor was considering hiding cauliflower in his mashed potatoes.

So those early systems would have lots of people born in the 1800s. And that's before data entry errors, how COBOL or Excel will treat a blank date (1875 and 1900 respectively), or any other issues.

Social Security used early ancestors of computers starting in 1937. They had to custom build them, and house them in an old factory because no building in Washington could handle the weight of the paper. They switched to what we would think of as a computer in the 70s.

I think it works, because most people know nothing of her life past childhood.

Last I saw a chest freezer was $200 at Costco

They have cheap chest freezers. Probably because then you can buy more frozen food. And these Korean snacks that are like a mozzarella stick wrappped in potatoes

Exit polls don’t include mail ballots and usually don’t include early voting. So it’s already not a good data sample. When there’s a strong partisan split in the method of voting exit polls will be skewed to what groups vote at the polls

Also, you learned about Hellen Keller as a child, not as a socialist and disability advocate. Which is what she spent her adult life doing.

When you have media that doesn’t show that, it’s a lot less effective. Not ineffective, but less helpful than it used to be.

I mostly agree. The problem is that nonviolent resistance depends a lot on a media that shows it, and shows your oppressors as the brutal ones. That’s why it took a century after On The Duty Of Civil Disobedience was written for it to really be put into practice. Ghandi was helped by film footage
