When you bow down to Trump, he will claim it shows that his conspiracy theories are correct, and only encourage his authoritarianism. Thank you, Big Law cowards.

Market manipulation is still supposed to be a crime, right? Right?!?

Rep. Steven Horsford: “This is amateur hour” “How is this not market manipulation?” “What BILLIONAIRE just got RICHER?”

Yup. That's why the song "You'll never leave Harlan alive" exists... because they were opining how they never wanted to leave and stop mining coal....

This is another instance of the Trump Administration losing because the cruelty is the point — they demand to be overt bullies and therefore lose on the merits. They could easily have marginalized the AP less overtly under this ruling.

Always a pleasure when my podcasts overlap. @jvl.bsky.social hanging out with @andylevy.net on today's The New Abnormal episode talking about the end of the American-led world order.

WHERE ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO FILE A HABEAS PETITION WHEN YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN RENDITIONED OUT OF THE COUNTRY?

60 Minutes could find no criminal records for 75% of the Venezuelans the U.S. sent to a notorious mega-prison in El Salvador. https://cbsn.ws/4clubLP

No sense of irony from Chainsaw Genius. ego/brains>>1 is the fundamental equation of the whole Trump administration. x.com/elonmusk/sta...

Yup.

Decline is a choice. open.substack.com/pub/thebulwa...

America as we knew it is over. The greatest act of societal self-mutilation in a century.

on CNBC, @carlquintanilla.bsky.social describes the Trump administration as "burning down the house to cook a steak."

I’m still floored by the inability/refusal of so-called political and economic analysts to accurately assess and discuss the obvious risk conditions that were forecast in BRIGHT BLINDING warning signs over an entire presidential campaign.

So Trump kinda just waited for market close so that you wouldn't see a red ticker growing larger on the screen with his televised remarks didn't he...

Sure, this guy should have control of big chunks of the US government. He's not a crank. He's super rich, therefore he must be a genius.

Chris Coons is absolutely demolishing Martha MacCallum right now on Fox News

A Very Personal Message to Elon open.substack.com/pub/charlies...

WI to Elon: Womp Womp

Anyway, he just lost.

i just have to assume that both china and russia have all our intel at this point www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

America needs to find a backbone. Fast.

The government admits the thing I’ve been banging on about, which is that there is no habeas for these people, despite what they told CADC.

Rage rant about the government admitting they wrongly sent a man to the El Salvador gulag and are not going to do anything about it. youtu.be/2LScwsPP9oc?...

Trump says he doesn’t know what Signal is

I know Adam Schleifer, the AUSA fired. He’s what you’d want a federal prosecutor to be: smart, competent, tough, ethical. He did a very fair and ethical thing towards one of my clients that not every AUSA would have done. If he was prosecuting a case I suspect it was a righteous case.

Fed. judge rules that the attempt to dismantle CFPB is likely unlawful, and the recent claims by the administration that the agency was still performing its statutorily mandated duties was "nothing more than window dressing." PI issued. ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show...

- Rumeysa Öztürk has never been charged with a crime. - Mahmoud Khalil has never been charged with a crime. - Momodou Taal has never been charged with a crime. - Badar Khan Suri has never been charged with a crime.

Wisconsin State Attorney General Josh Kaul is taking legal action against Elon Musk

Republicans think this talking point owns the judges but really all it shows is that Trump breaks the law constantly

Th Wisconsin race has become a referendum on Elon Musk, who has — by the latest estimate —put $20 million into the campaign to elect the conservative candidate, Brad Schimel. open.substack.com/pub/charlies...

If Dems don’t fix stuff like this, they won’t win a national election again. www.mediaite.com/podcasts/oh-...

“She is now being held in an ICE detention facility, in a room shared with 80 other women.”

They’ll never accept it, but everyone who cast a vote for Donald Trump did real, generations-long damage to the United States and the west in exchange for essentially nothing of value.

Yes. The point is to normalize abductions by a masked, unidentified, secret police force. Things are moving very fast right now. www.thebulwark.com/p/this-is-th...

Even if you accept the premise and decision, which I absolutely do not, it is the simplest thing to phone the visa holder, tell them their visa is revoked and say they have a month to leave the country. Accosting someone on the street like a kidnapping is just a spectacle of terror.

NEW—After a day of uncertainty on where agents took Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk, she appears to be in a Louisiana facility. 1400+ miles from Somerville, Massachusetts, where she was taken. A judge ordered to not take her out of state without 48 hour notice. She was detained last night.

oh my god -- Comer thinks "editorial standards" literally refers to standards for editorials and is corrected by the NPR head

If you had shown me this picture in a Democratic campaign ad last fall, I would have rolled my eyes at the ridiculous overkill

This is the most important part of the entire thing. Sorry, I mean: The most important part is that there will be no investigation/prosecution about this practice.

i dunno these kind of seem like classified war plans www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Wow — Mike Waltz on Fox News suggests Jeffrey Goldberg somehow schemed his way into the Signal group instead of just being invited by accident

My senator punting again... refused to do "advice and consent" on the nominees at the heart of this... abdicating his responsibilities yet again...

Sounds like Hegseth and Waltz should be fired then

Hey guys remember the Hillary Clinton email server? Seems kinda, small today, doesn’t it?

The staggering Atlantic report about the administration’s sloppy preparation for military action is hands-down the most obvious demonstration that the right’s rhetoric about Clinton’s server was bullshit. Gift link: wapo.st/4c2yQCj

the president has no idea his cabinet officials are violating numerous federal laws by discussing sensitive information over a nonofficial network but he knows jeffrey goldberg is an asshole
