Yes, But! Eastern Germany has a lower population density, higher population decline, and more aging communities compared to western Germany Also mass immigration of young people in the 1990’s after re-unification left many older ‘soviet’ type voters still there to today That may account for it

Reading your sub-stack, other leaders must know Trump’s ‘fear of being ripped off’ weakness & surely Zelensky/EU do too What if Europe just says NO, replacing arms from US & finds ways to use the Russian SWF in EU banks Putin has no air or sea control, depleted land force & no $ Would Xi help?

Speaking as someone who’s from a Country that was colonised, had our history & culture systematically subjugated & erased for 800 years, I can tell you: History is history, it never dies, unless you kill every single person who lives there We are free now, for 100 yrs, so will Ukraine be free

A huge mistake. Every capitalist knows, the last thing you do is to try to blackmail your customer Europe is watching, they already have an alternative, in space, ready to go. And what about Africa, Asia, if this is the game Elon could lose a lot of Contracts here and he’ll never get them back

I don’t know the man or his core, but I do know this His flagship company shares are down 23%, he can’t sell a car outside the US, his battery plant in China is not doing well & EU are about to replace his Starlink (as are others) He should look to his housekeeping or he may regret this escapade

&… must have elections in year 1, No NATO protection, US paid first no matter what, 50% of licenses even to others, control of ports & exports, legally binding in perpetuity It makes Ukraine a slave dominion of an absentee landlord, the United States NO ONE in their right mind would sign it

For Trump/Musk to succeed EVERYTHING has to go their way 1. Circumvent Congress 2. Defy the Courts 3. Control the media 4. Command the military 5. Subdue citizen unrest 6. Beat State opposition 7. Pay off the Tech Bro’s That’s a lot of chess pieces & it looks like they’re not very good at chess

If they in any way partner with Trump, then like anyone who links up with him, it’ll be the ruination of them Rick Wilson’s book title had it from day one “Everything Trump Touches Dies!”

Murdoch is the most pernicious, evil Palpatine like figure to ever be allowed into the West’s media space It’s incredible to think he’s Australian & was once a noted war correspondent He has done more damage to democracy than any Putin or Xi Why Governments allow him to exist escapes most of us

You should have stopped your thread at…. “Trump says….” Because everything after that is a lie… always!

US global arms sales is @ $320bn/y, much of which goes to Europe That will be in jeopardy if the US uses any of it as a means of extortion Blackmailing your best customers is not a strategy for repeat business, also it seems a little desperate Europe & Ukraine do have alternatives & money

And it will not work. These are not the shiny medal toting Generals of Myanmar or Venezuela or North Korea that he admires so much These guys are the real thing & are not impressed by phoney wannabe Kings
comment in response to post
Putin can do damage to some EU States, but to win a war, you must control the skies & he can’t control even his own skies. It would be suicide He has drones & missiles but no navy to blockade ports, no air force to control battle space This is why he’s not overrunning Ukraine, so Europe. NO!
comment in response to post
She’s right, he has no power over the States, that’s the way the framers set up the Federal system States have to AGREE to be governed, they can say NO & there’s nothing he can do about it Yes, he has the power of the Purse, (so long as he has the cash), but the cash comes from the States too
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, the system is such that there’s no instant response, but there is an answer Even if Congress won’t act, States will. They’re not about to accept a King. What does he do then, he’s a King with no kingdom.

The problem with these self anointing EO’s is that they must be:- 1. Constitutional 2. If not, then Approved in Congress (both Houses) 3. Cannot compel State Governors or Governments You can declare yourself anything in the USA, but to make it real, you have to overturn The State & the States

Now get on your knees peasant & prostrate yourself before your King

It’s not about savings & never was (they’ve only found $5.0bn of the supposed $2.0tn?) It’s about control & getting rid of any & all oversight that’s in the way of that. And in that, they are progressively succeeding They’re freeing the path for an ‘American Kleptocracy’ on a grand scale
comment in response to post
Likely a last ditch effort to get the US to stop Europe impounding it when they too say NO to the US grand Plan
comment in response to post
This isn’t Hollywood. It’s real lives of real people all over the USA & elsewhere too that are being hurt This man is cruel, greedy. He’s a real life racist misogynist, whose lust for power knows no bounds He’s not to be minimised as some supervillain in a comic book

Why would any European take any notice of his ‘counsel’ to Europe on Democracy The EU is not gonna be lectured on Democracy by a cosplay christo-fascist who has abandoned his own democracy in his own country His uttering was met with the silence it deserved

He’s hitting his own MAGA base. He doesn’t need them anymore, so now he’s punishing them. And probably enjoying it, telling his pals what fools they are

It’s pretty obvious. Create enough unrest to foment civil disobedience, call in the National Guard, declare a State of Emergency & then say “We couldn’t possibly hold free & fair elections in these circumstances”, so I’ll have to stay on Bingo!
