The word for suit in Ukrainian is костюм, but I’ll point out that the stress is on the second syllable, not the first, as it is in English when describing something a clown might wear. Zelenskyy said it with the correct pronunciation in English. He knew what he was saying and he said it on purpose.

President Zelenskyy’s English is quite good. He was asked, in English, about not wearing a suit, and he understood the question. He responded that maybe later he would wear a costume like the questioner. (1/2)
