Steve Bannon is nothing if not a provocateur. And this kind of intentional provocation is deadly serious, endangering all of us, Jews and non-Jews alike.

French far-right leader Jordan Bardella canceled planned remarks at CPAC today, after ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon made a "gesture referring to Nazi ideology," according to a statement to French news agency Agence France-Presse.

Call me too woke or whatever but i don't think the official white house account should be presenting the president as a king

Taking a wrecking ball to the federal government hurts the American people.

Math is hard

Breaking News: Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s former president, was charged with overseeing a vast scheme to overturn the 2022 election he lost.

If Joe Biden said this, the entire Republican Party would be yelling about Munich/1938/appeasement, & it would prompt nonstop front page headlines about whether he was mentally unfit to be president.

This is not patriotism.

Washington Post Cancels Ad From Groups Calling for Trump to Fire Musk www.nytimes.com/2025/02/17/b...

“He who saves his Country does not violate any Law,” Mr. Trump wrote, first on Truth Social, and then on the website X. The quote is a variation of one sometimes attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte. It’s creepy to the core and wholly anti-constitutional: www.nytimes.com/2025/02/15/u...

Termination notices going out this afternoon to more than 300 employees of the National Cancer Institute. Access likely ends today. Four weeks paid leave and that’s it. Strong power move for Team Cancer.

If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.

Why is the richest man in the world cutting cancer research?

Calling for the press to be jailed is not patriotism.

Musk now calling for people at 60 Minutes to go to prison.

For those keeping track, @nytimes.com ran the story today on the bottom of page A22.

Trying to justify monarch-like lawbreaking is not patriotism: www.cnn.com/2025/02/16/p...

" The retribution moves dangerously close to threatening the apolitical foundation of the military who serve our nation and protect us as citizens.... unprecedented and a threat to American civil-military relations."

Retaliating against Gen. Mark Milley is not patriotism. But speaking truth to power is. www.military.com/daily-news/o...

D.C. Democrats keep talking themselves into the idea that they're powerless. That any pushback is futile. It's a total misreading of the landscape, and misunderstanding of the game that's being played.

I am really outdone. The Maryland National Guard cannot celebrate Frederick Douglass, the state’s native son and perhaps the greatest American this nation ever produced, because he’s Black and his chosen birthday happened to fall during Black History Month. (Ask me why he had to choose is b-day)

Baselessly questioning whether a senator really had polio is not what patriotism looks like: www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

To think, there are a lot of people who not only voted for this but are giddy that it’s happening.

Unreal. The US government is dumping Asian and African families and children in random countries that they have no connection to. Dumping, not "deporting." Deportation implies the return of a person to their home country. This is treating people like toxic waste. www.cbsnews.com/news/us-depo...

👀 "If no lawyer within earshot of the President is willing to give him that advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me." -- AUSA Hagan Scotten, SDNY.

“The first lady’s cut is more than 70% of the $40 million, according to people familiar with the matter. And they’re still looking for more: Melania’s agent has been trying to sell “sponsorships” for the film—starting at $10 million—to prominent CEOs and billionaires” www.wsj.com/politics/ele...

Has anyone done a detailed estimate of how many thousands of Americans will likely die as a result of RFK Jr. being put in charge of our country’s health policies?

Danielle Sassoon’s letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi is what honor, integrity and a commitment to #justice look like—a desperately needed, clarifying reminder of what should be the norm in America. Grateful for this; may it inspire and fortify us all. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Trump’s latest executive order (that was no doubt written by psychopath RFK Jr.) goes after antidepressants. As someone whose life was saved by them, you will pry my prozac from my cold dead hands. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

NYT: The USAID "Food for Peace" program bought $713 million in food from US farmers in 2023, which was distributed to hungry people outside America. How do we think Trump-supporting farmers will feel about zeroing out this program? www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/u...

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

A win for now for the millions of desperate people who America promised to help with food, shelter, and healthcare. A loss for those who would play with those people’s lives or have them suffer for their own political aims: Russia, China, and #PresidentMusk - Trump. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/14/u...

Happy birthday to one of the greatest, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, he didn't know his actual birthday, but chose to celebrate it on this day. Please read his books and essays; please teach your children his story when they are old enough to understand.

Seven years ago, 17 students were murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. While the Parkland community has forever changed, America's gun laws are the same. The only way to honor the memory of those taken is to make our schools and streets safer with commonsense gun reforms.

“Trump should have given the IG’s a pat on the back and increased their staff—that is, if he really wanted to get rid of waste, fraud, and abuse.”

“So you’re saying when the fascists took over, they seized all the means of communication so the opposition couldn’t raise the alarm?” “No no, actually every single opposition member had a pocket device that could broadcast video to the whole world. They just felt awkward about using it too much”

Glad this is the team with root access to government systems and that has designs on creating online systems.

With both RFK Jr and Gabbard confirmed, two people who rose to prominence spreading conspiracy theories about public health and national intelligence will now run the U.S. government agencies in charge of those areas. For someone studying these conspiracy theories for a decade... this is nauseating.

I won’t stop posting this.

TFW a Trump-appointed judge writes that it is a "novel and complex" question whether Trump can be elected to a third term. Sigh. www.ca10.uscourts.gov/sites/ca10/f...
